OFFICIAL Jarome Luai - #295

Thanks. Certainly didn't know that. Scotch eggs were a treat when I lived over there in late 80's. Stovies was my regular dinner. There was a small free weekly Australian news magazine that I would pick up on my way to work that had oz rugby league and union information for a minor dose of league news from the antipodes.
I know this because my wife is Scottish and careful to pick out anything inappropriately attached to Scotland, particularly if the word "scotch" is used.

One explanation is "scotched" used to mean mincing of food, hence scotch around the egg.

It's possible to be humble ,loyal and enjoy your wealth at the same time. As you said, we can't take it with us when we die.Need to enjoy it in life.
I wish I could enjoy my football team in life.

The reality is I am riding a roller-coaster of false hope and disappointment, while a bunch of useless pricks behind the scenes are throwing money at women's a league sides and putting 3 magpies on a wests tigers jersey - more magpies than tigers on a wests tigers jersey.

Looks like Luai is getting a send off this weekend. They'll probably retire his jersey too!

Not sure why this is a shock. I said a month ago that Benii would ride the dead horse all the way to the finish line, and here we are.

I'm not shocked; however a lot of forum members predicted he would be dropped.

If only it were a home game, he could have done a lap of dishonour around Campbellton Oval.

Yep. Benji had no choice. As he said, he respects people who show respect. Benji is trying to set cultural standards and clear lines of what he accepts and what he doesn't.

If Benji were to have dropped Luai, after he did everything right contractually and with respect to the club. What message would that send? It would impact our recruitment chances in the future.

Benji played it correctly.

Yes and No you can't have standards that Benji set on one hand and have people take advantage of that on the other. Luai would not have done this stunt at Penrith,Roosters or Storm.

You mean specifically the Pepsi thing? Im not sure. Its a very unique situation. You wouldn't know at any other club because its all australian based.

Just one thing that I think needs to be pointed out Dennis, It's not LABOUR, it's actually LABOR.

The reason is that they don't care about U or me when it comes down to it. 😡

I will say one more thing and that is that you were 100% correct about ALBANESE BEING AN IDIOT. ✅
Thanks teach for the correction.

Jarome has broken no rules. The only thing wrong he has done in the process is the I'm here for life talk he came up with in July last year after constant media questioning about his clauses. It makes him look stupid now, but since then he's done nothing wrong. Trip to PNG in April was before his clause would be deactivated on April 30 until November for going to market, with the PNG opportunity and money not likely as high if he wasn't the first signing. His form has been very poor. He has also been a constant feature on daily news segments and drama shows targeting him solely even during games where he wasn't that bad. The club moved him on when he was happy to stay another year under contract. It's an easy scapegoat this PNG thing
