Nah just flogged his missus which is the lowest form of man you could be. Got a jail sentence but his lawyer got that sentence suspended. You said a club like the Roosters wouldn’t sign a player like Manase but they did. If they want someone their past won’t matter they will sign them.

But I also said they wouldn’t sign a player who hadn’t played for 5 or 6 years because they had been in the clink. They definitely wouldn’t be planning to before he was even released.

May not be a big name but his skill & toughness as a lock would complement Latu & Javon moving forward imo.

Look at the width it creates the Phins when he comes on to play that role and pushes Katoa & Nikorima that bit wider.

He could make our edges lethal not to mention add more starch in defence.

I posted in the Samuela thread that i don't know when it will be announced formally, but just heard that it's all been agreed. It's complicated because his agent is banned at the moment and because they're big/long deals, the specific agent (Tartak) doesn't want to miss out on the commission so the paper work and signature have to happen at specific times. He's been very involved in their careers since they were young, taken care of the Fainus and their family especially during the stuff with Manase, and they want to to take care of him.

Manase will probably be at the club in some capacity in the next year or two. Will probably make his way back through RMC and at some point sign a Cup contract. I know many people will be against that and fair enough, but i personally don't really have an issue with it. Manase did the crime and did the time. Deserves a second chance at life and rehabilitation.

There are others in our game who have done the crime, done no time and even rewarded with rep honours and premierships. Ezra Mam, Matt Lodge etc.

Not to be a wanker , but that was as obvious as anything . The way the Fainu family talk about the club, captaining it , and benji , with the delay the only obvious answer was the commission for Mario .
Anyways it’s good to be proven right . Good stuff

Yeah don't think getting rid of 4/5 of our potential rep quality players is the answer though. Probably focus on the 15 guys in our squad who are not up to standard

Absolutely not, but I also don't think it's smart to build a team around families. Diversity is essential.

I made a post mid-year that I thought there would be an exodus of players at the end of the year.

It's starting to happen.
