Anything that pisses Nick Politis off pleases me. Sooner he drops off the perch and that soulless shit stain of a club follows him into the grave the better.

Their disappointment will be in Sam and his manager dragging this out, not at losing him.
They have Toby Rodwell, and then Carter Mareko a couple of years behind him. Both gun halfbacks of their age groups. They’ve brought in Toia, Foketi, Wong, Savala, etc, recently and they have many more in their stable. Bassingthwaite will take over from Teddy when he retires.
Too many focus on the big signing they bring in, when the overwhelming bulk of their team is built and debut from within. Sam Walker was on of them.
They missed out on Fifita recently too, didn't they? It only meant they had to bring Foketi through a a bit sooner. They'll be fine. They run their ship well, and have contingencies in place like great successful organisations always do. The fact they can walk away from the table like they have demonstrates this.
There was a rumour circulating a while ago that Robinson wanted to go back and coach in France. As for the Cleary’s, idk. Ivan doesn’t have anything left to prove, and I’m pretty sure he’s taking a role in the background at the Panthers.Such a strong club and good management
So I wonder if the rumour is true both Clearlys off to the Roosters I have heard it for awhile now

Name a billionaire that doesn’tHe seems to sulk a bit when something doesn’t go his way
They aren’t the victims in the Walker contract saga that you are making out. They pulled the plug, They aren’t in a position to have to kowtow and cave to their players and their management’s demands. They can afford to move onOf course they will be fine …as I said originally .. onto Herbie! I wish them more disappointments … but they seem few and far between

Probably not. But a lot of clubs probably cave in their situation. They are one of the few who don’t have to.Victims is a word I didn’t use …rather “disappointment “…
they wanted to keep him and upped their original offer …seems obvious he isn’t going to take it without a further increase …

You think? Managers love to parent their clients. And the players often go along like children.Come on…it’s going to be Walkers call at the end of the day… 🙄

Clearly you can’t be talking about me… because in my first comment on the matter I have said the opposite… the Roosters will simply move onto the next superstar waiting in the wings to sign upIt's the Wests Tigers supporter mentality. A club loses a player. Hope it cripples them. Because that's what would basically happen to Wests Tigers. Cave-in or collapse in a heap.
It’s not news to any of us that they are set up for prolonged success mate, it’s from strong leadership & resources that’s why we discuss the debenture issueIt's the Wests Tigers supporter mentality. The Roosters are so far ahead in their recruitment and retention planning, they can pull the offer and wish him good luck in the future if he does decide to leave. Rodwell and Mareko are better than most other halves coming through grades at the moment. They do well in their recruitment and development generally to stay on top. Lose JWH, Keary, Manu, Suaalii? No problem, just blood Toia, Foketi, Savala, Wong, etc and win a premiership with them. Was Nawaqanitawase a fluke? Afterall, they didn't recuit Solomon Alaimalo did they!
Rather than acknowledge that a competitor runs their business exceptionally well, let's hope their chairmen cries in his billions.
Meanwhile, Wests Tigers have a forum member trying to drum up interest in 50-60 spuds in another thread that the CEO (if it's really is him) reckons he has to keep under wraps in case other clubs get FOMO on them. I'm not having a go at BWG, he has lots of knowledge on these players, but the club's strike rate has been sh!t in recent years (or they don't want to stay). Our backyard is a mess and we're so far behind it's not funny. Most of this forum is hung up on whether a bloke who has played less than 10x 80 min game over 3 years can be the future half, or discussing the in-and-outs of debenture holding.
