If our right hand centre/wing combination costs us games throughout the season, don’t say I didn’t tell you so.

    Heamasi Makasini #303

I think we currently have him contracted until the end of the 2028 season on a contract I believe to be around 375k per season, I’m not sure if it increases each season or not ? So we have him locked up for the next couple of seasons which is great, but I’m sure most would agree, we ideally want...

    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I know we are trying on front load contracts such as Jahream and now potentially Makasini, but if we want to give ourselves the best chance of success in 2026 we ideally need one more proven NRL quality outside back as insurance in case To’a doesn’t perform up to scratch and in case we continue...

    Heamasi Makasini #303

It may be premature and very risky to offer a massive money, long term contract to an 18y.o who has only played one NRL game and one NRL trial game, but I think he has already shown what he’s capable of and is a player who will hopefully be the face of our club for many years to come. I think...

Wests Tigers TV (Claws Out/ Wests Tigers Life etc)

I’m impressed with all the Wests Tigers podcasts at the moment, but the professional approach from you guys have taken it to another level and leading the way for all the others. Truly impressive and well worth a regular listen or watch for any Wests Tigers fan.

Wests Tigers TV (Claws Out/ Wests Tigers Life etc)

Two very good episodes 👍 Good to hear someone with Adel’s knowledge acknowledge Seyfarth has value in our squad and also state he can see some quality in Mason. I can’t agree with him that Bula didn’t deserve criticism for a bad night at the office and is irreplaceable. I probably sound like a...

    Round 2 team 2026

If all players are available for selection except for Latu Fainu, I think it’s a clear cut 21 man squad, that will need to be trimmed to 19. 1. Bula 2.Turuva 3. To’a 4. Taylan May 5. Makasini 6. Luai 7. Doueihi 13. Teal 12. Pearce-Paul 11. Samuela Fainu 10. Afoa 9. Korisau 8. Terrell May 14...

    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I agree with what you are saying, I just don’t have much confidence in a To’a and Turuva combination on our right. I know they done some very good things early last season, but they are a big defensive liability and I don’t think their attack is good enough to make up for it. Hypothetically if...

    2026 trial games (non WTs)

Joey Wash and Onitoni Large are potentially the best halves pairing in the NRL in a few years time.

Where do you find top quality right centres ? They are very few and far between.

Averillo would be very valuable as a right centre with speed and attacking flair and has played a handful of high quality NRL games at fullback.

    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I vividly remember Skelton’s contract with us being reported as 225k last season up to 250k for this season. At that price he is great value and even if we increase him to 300k he’s still good value.

    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Have you had a look what middle forwards are currently available for 2027 ? Besides Kaiden Lahrs and Sam Hughes, there is no middles that there is nobody that would even register any interest.

    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I very much dou I very much doubt we would get the best out of Doueihi if we moved him back to right centre. I think it’s halves or lock for him moving forward, but if he plays 13 it could only be for 40mins per game maximum.

    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I thought he played well in his limited time on the field against the Panthers. He showed he has the ability to play on an edge and in the middle, which will put him well and truly in the discussion for our NRL bench. I have no idea if he’s looking at Perth Bears as an option or not for 2027...

    Juniors - Pathways General Discussion

Talent ID and developing the right players through to NRL is not as easy as it would seem. I’ve watched the Broncos Qld Cup team trials and although they are going well on the scoreboard, they only have a couple of decent NRL prospects coming through, most of their team are journeyman and...

OFFICIAL Pathways - KOE General Discussion

Like most teams, they are still ok with their top 17, but very thin after that. I think this is where we have caught up and gone past a lot of other teams as we now have quite a few positions where if we have someone out the replacement player is just as good.

    OFFICIAL Jeral Skelton #294

I’m not sure if Andrews is quick enough for a centre, but if he is he’s certainly good enough in all other areas.

    OFFICIAL Jeral Skelton #294

Tavana is really showing them all the way in his ability and effort to compete on so many high balls. He hasn’t quite got the height and size of Zac Lomax, but effort to compete for the high balls and aerial ability is very Zac Lomax like.
