Is it just me or was anyone else just plain embarrassed for our club watching that doco? We look so amateur, like a bunch of gotdamn posers! That muscle shirt Pascoe chose to wear??, Madge talking up rubbish, polishing a turd really. Mbye looks like he plays , no intent and no commitment , just a PC bullshit artist pretending to be a first grade footballer trying to win the premiership! Seriously the club has no desire or character in their staff,,, they just look content to have a job and be part of the scenery , just also rans . I hope I’m not being too superficial but I just saw nothing at the club that suggested inspiration or excellence at all…. It looks just so bland

Yeah, I was thinking along similar lines but it just surprises me that he can sit there and watch a game with very little emotion after what he put in on the field when he played.

He looks like he's auditioning for the role of Evil Henchman number one in the next James Bond movie.

The box looks amateur hour...I mean why couldn’t the trainer stop play when stef was injured. Blokes playing on phones? Ex-refs getting two calls wrong when questioned about on field calls? Whats badge offer? Pascoe is just lord of cringe. Water of a ducks back is easy when you’re not held accountable hey Justin?

As a supporter of another club I would watch this and my thoughts on wests would be confirmed. Such a misstep to get involved in this.

I regret watching this. It shows Madge in a bad light when he addresses his team in the dressing room and whilst he is watching the match. There are young kids watching this program on TV and Madge lets loose a continuous procession of swearing. His persona becomes worse after the team lose and his swearing intensifies. Not a good look for youngsters who want to reach a level in rugby league without feeling intimidated by the coach.


I think that the players should have a safe space.

If would also be good to see a progressive coach that could get their message across through interpretive dance.

Let’s have a new millennium peace ring where everyone is equal, everyone’s a winner regardless of results but no one is put above others,; medals to all!

It’s pretty obvious what Harry Grant meant when he mentioned the difference between the two coaches.
Madge is very clearly invested in the club and the playing group and you can’t fault his energy but just in that first hour I saw a coach that seems more intent with being a father figure and ‘nurturing his players into first graders instead of champions’ I know some of the players look disinterested’ but I just don’t see the presence and equally the respect.
He clearly needs some help with his assistants but he seems too buddy buddy for a professional team but with our blasé CEO the way this season has played out is not surprising me.

Well that answers so many questions for me. The stuff we don’t see from the dressing room or hear from the pressers. It’s real. It also says to me that when they run onto the field, the job of winning is up to the players not the coach. How much more honest and direct can Madge be? Really enjoyed Ep1. Can’t wait for Ep2 and half time against the Cowboys. I’m sure when they decided to make this series, they had no idea it was going to play out the way it has. That’s what makes it even better.

Badge is there to assist with insights into the officiating during the game. Great idea but don’t know if it is translating yet

Who cares man seriously . He’s not that good . The dogs will still be crap next year . It will be TPJ running it up for every third game, to for 30mins a game Paul Vaughan , to ….. no one. That pack is beyond dismal even with those 2 additions , and Elliot had 5 good games last year to take 5% of their cap now . Plus they paid 10 blokes ludicrous money to fit into 7 spots in the backline . They still don’t have a dummy half , or a fullback.

It doesn't buy him forever. I'm unsure why he is in the box on game day that is all.
