Hooper mentioned a push for shane Flanagan to come to the side seriously hope not.

It’s coming from Flanagan, not the Wests Tigers.

Where did you read that? (genuine question)

Oh my god I can't believe people are so obsessed with pascoes wardrobe

Just because he's a CEO doesn't mean he should be in a suit the whole time. He was dressed fine, he just has a crap haircut lol. He's allowed to wear casual clothes when he's not at work

Its ridiculous isn't it - no pleasing the PC brigade. They will find fault in anything.

The saying goes "Don't judge a book by it's cover"

Not that you should judge anyone - but if you do, judge Pascoe on his achievements and his failures, not on what he is wearing or on his haircut.

Far as I can see his only failures were "The Farah Fiasco" and "Hiring the Traitor" - who new that would happen. Cleary sucked in 90%+ just on the Forum alone.

On the other hand, add all the achievements Pascoe has since he as been CEO and the scales say he is a big winner.

"Pascoe has to go" some say - get a life, start bagging the people NOT pulling their weight - you have plenty to choose from.

Well ok then next time I have an interview forget a shirt and tie do a Pascoe and wear a t-shirt for a doco filming.
Even if you can't play golf at least try and look like a golfer
Perception has a part to play regarding professionalism

ok Hooper said it was coming from inside the club, interesting so Flanagan gets Hooper to put it out there no other club wants him. I think where there is smoke there is fire
Remember we are a dumb club that makes strange decisions like Signing Nofo for 4 years anything is possible

I have to admit that I cringed a fair bit watching that show due mainly to the timeline.

I’m sitting here thinking what the hell could Madge say to these blokes in the upcoming episodes knowing we go from bad to worse?

But I did like the bit where a Wests Tigers member was happy to have won ~$760 raffle after the Roosters flogging.

If Pooper has any contacts inside the club they need to be identified and removed as quickly as possible. For some reason the 2 traitors on the board who backstabbed Marina Go spring to mind as likely candidates for his information.
Some people reek of treachery

LOL at all you judging Pascoe’s competence on the way he dresses…

He is the best thing that has happened to this club. We have our centre of excellence coming along nicely, we are in the best financial position we have ever been in, the toxicity in the club is gone believe it or not, we have hired two very successful coaches one after the other, we have our lower grades performing very well, etc.

Yet none of you are happy…

Lets bring back Grant Mayer, right?

It just goes to show what we all know that the playing group is mentally fragile.. no amount of coaching can in-still that into individuals..

No matter how talented or skilful… Mentality comes from within.. no words can unlock it.. you can become resilient but only do it yourself.

It’s a generational thing IMO.. everyone gets a ribbon..

Agree with everything except it being generational. its not generational its recruitment.

No one at the club recruited based on mentality.

Pascoe has done a great job he just needs to look professional or so you would have thought.

I’m not saying that isn’t true … Because it clearly is , but if it’s a generational thing , why is it only affecting Places like the tigers . The storm , they don’t recruit the best players all the time , like Nico Hynes is a prime example of this . He just wanted it more . Do we search for the exceptions not the rule ? If a whole generation are fragile , how do you find resilience ? Do we just recruit a little lower on the natural talent but A plus on the mental aptitude ?

This has to be What Adam Hartigan, Kimmorley , Tim Sheens and Madge would be having conversations about .
**For me , I’d look to America . Thier aptitude testing is another level . And the prima Donna egos floating around the NRL , are nothing compared to an NFL locker room . “The Patriots way” has to be something that’s looked into , as they do exactly what the storm do . Identify talented players , but ones with a real hard edge .**
How they do that , I have NO idea . But if we could tap into that knowledge stream , even just a little bit , it would go a long way to get us out this mess I reckon .

As a Patriots fan ive been talking about mentality on this forum for a number of years now.

Its an art to recruit mentality over pure talent. You still need talent but mentality is what wins championships.

We have about 5 players out of our 30 who may have it, the rest are lacking.

As Bill Belichick is quoted saying

“Talent sets the floor, character sets the ceiling” .

Every recruit should be looked at in this light.

TPJ for instance is not the right type of player. he has the talent so he has the floor. Trouble is it is widely regarded that he hasnt achieved his ceiling. he never will if he doesnt have the character.

He looks fine. I've seen far worse in the top 100 companies. The time of the grey suite has long passed. They only bring that out for the yearly photos

I thought the best thing that ever happened to the club was winning the grand final, but I guess I'm just being a Pascoe hater.

Agree with the general consensus regarding Pascoe.

Used car salesman vibes. Very sleazy. Would prefer he’d be selling the match day programs than the club ethos.

What are we seeking choir boys or results? Pascoe gets results, Maguire doesn't. That is the bottom line.

List Pascoe's results for us please.

Aren't we one of the few Sydney based clubs in the black? We've a new COE on the way and our coaching and pathways staff have been augmented. I doubt if we could afford them without our better financial position.

I just watched it. I thought it was good but I wish it wasn't so game day focused. Was really hoping to see more of the day to day stuff.

Madge clearly cares deeply about the club. Can't doubt his commitment and I thought he handled himself pretty well, although my opinion of whether he can get the team going is unchanged.

Pascoe's really got the whole Billy Beane vibe going with the Brad Pitt hair and driving the pickup truck. I lol'd at his baseball cap at the Knights game that couldn't fit over his voluminous hair.

The team are mentally weak.

Yep expressed this today and got hammered , also have thought the membership Dept has also improved, being Financal will be a huge factor in the not to distant future as the pressure mounts on clubs to financially survive independently.

It was interesting, but we didn't really learn anything new.

Yes Madge loves the club and the boys and genuinely cares. He can comment that the players aren't pushing up, sliding in defence or doing this or that and ask 'Snoopy' to pass on these instruction. Fine, but he has to ultimately coach those mistakes out of them!! That's his job - either by doing it himself or hiring assistants that take on those specific duties at training. To date he still hasn't proven he can implement the changes that are required. And that's why his job is still under threat.

Is Snoopy able to translate his messages onto the field? Can Ronny Palmer say anything other than 'mate' to the players on the field? These are the areas we're way behind other clubs.

Perhaps Madge would have been better suited to the role Sheens now has?

And who cares how Pascoe looked. It was showing him at home, do any of you think he wears a suit and tie whilst chilling at home?? When he was on official duties he was in suits or club attire, as expected. What he wears at home is his business.

Agree 100% re the Madge comments.

As for Pascoe, I couldn't care less what he wears, just found his appearance amusing.

Wasn't specifically targetting you on the Pascoe hate.

Ultimately he's done brilliantly with off field results fro the club. But on field he's failed miserably. He needs to look after business and have nothing to do with footy.
