I found that episode really hard to watch. My observations:
- Madge is really intense - don't blame him based on how the players have responded, but he does appear highly strung - as alluded to by Mbye.
- Madge is busting his gut to try to improve this club.
- The players seemed both relieved and over the moon when they beat St George, which gave me the feeling they want to do well.
- There is something really amiss in the dressing room - no one besides Madge was talking - why? because they don't care? I don't think this is the case, based on the few times I have seen them celebrate when they do win - because they don't believe in themselves? - possibly, because they can't relate to/believe in the coach(es) ideas? - possibly
That second episode probably posed more questions than answers. What I do really think after watching this episode is they desperately need Sheens' calm and experienced leadership.

Last comment says it all for me..as much as us supporters want to see the coach give it to them before the game .and after when they lose bad cause we are hurting..unfortunately that ain’t going to make any difference these days..and if most certainly hasn’t last 2 years ..whilst i have my own problems with RF ..just look at his eyes when he hears what is being said ..he knows what the players are thinking .Listen to the way Madge talks to RF when he replaced our good old defence coach “snoop” another old Cronny from Madges past . we have also got another one sitting beside him relating the messages. Macrae? Seems Madge has sold the Board and CEO that “tough” is the answer cause that’s what they want to hear given both clubs history and what has happened since 2011..but in this day and age with young people aka players this Is not going to be successful unless the team has a looong history of one successful coach like Storm. I run a global business and used to think “giving to to them” was the answer but have learnt that wont work so have mellowed and changed the way I try and fix these type of problems..Tim..is he the answer? Short term he will help ..look at the players he had in development before he got sacked..Tedesco, Woods, Slimey, Brooks , Brown, etc etc I would also think that his style of game is more suited to what is required now than just go and give it them in the first 10 mins

I find it interesting that the players just sit with their heads bowed in the sheds almost looking like they want to hide - is it possible that no one wants to speak because they know that it's being filmed and are afraid to say the wrong thing, Or, are they just mostly young and aren't good with communicating in intense situations or in confrontations. Speaking up in that type of a situation puts a spotlight on you, and in general, is not something that many of this generation are very good at.

As an aside, I was impressed in the way Adam Reynolds was consoling AD at the end of the Souths game, seems a decent bloke.

The more I watch their games and also seeing this footage, I am convinced that 3-4 quality "winners" - players who compete at 110% every week and who lead by example (Brandon Smith types) - would make all the difference to this group. The fact is that's exactly what the teams in the top 5 or 6 have......at least 3 or 4 of those type of guys!

I have upmost respect for anyone who plays 1 game of NRL. It’s probably the most brutal game in the world. I don’t condone personal attacks. However to win consistently at NRL level means you can’t take the foot off the pedal. You need to strive for success as hard as you did to get to that level. Many tigers supporters see evidence contrary to this and are frustrated. We want a change in attitude.
