1,6,7,9

Thats the reason Melbourne is doing well. They have probably had more changes and turmoil than most other clubs - self inflicted of course - but they have a very solid 1,7,9 and the young guy at 6 is doing very well too.

Not forgetting they have a fullback that is an attacking genius. I watched every minute of their game Vs the Panthers a few weeks back and their forwards got slightly outplayed. The Panthers definately won the battle of field position yet the brilliance of Melbournes attacking players saw them score long range tries which broke the Panthers heart. That`s how we play as well when we are on our game, remember `05 when we were regularly scoring 30 points or more per game and we had Hodgo at the back playing a major part in many long range tries?

Well that`s simply not possible with Wde McKinnon at the back, we need speed.

speed is the defining variance in the NRL today, forget size, muscle and the rest, u have enough speed around the park and u have half the recipe to a bagload of tries every game. of course defence plays a critical part too in the team but ask any coach what they would like more of in their team and that would be speed.

I give up The guy does not have the skills to play fullback that MacKinnon has . The only advantage he has over MacKinnon is speed . Obviously very few people have either played fullback or understand how important the role of the fullback is in a NRL team . everyone brings up Slater Slater is fast but is good at all parts of being a fullback unlike Moltzen who can run fast .

Do you want to be a chance of beating sides like the Dragons, Storm & Broncos or are you happy to limp into the finals & just make up the numbers?
By the sounds of things you are happy to just limp into the finals & just make up the numbers.
We will do it very tough beating those sides with McKinnon at the back. Not because he`s a bad player, but because at this stage of his career he is to slow and will not trouble the tight defensive units that these teams posess. I really don`t know why this is so hard to understand?

Soward and Cronk will wet themselves with laughter if they see Molzen at fullback

Moltzen doesn't want to play full back. Look at his body language. He wants to play five eight. Allow him to go to Souths so he can play his correct position in the NRL.

McKinnon unfortunately is no longer the player he once was plus is injury prone which doesn't help the balance of the team.

Time to blood Mullaney and give him NRL experience.

Plenty of small players have played full back with success. Hoggo, Preston Campbell, Matt Bowen, etc

Wade McKinnon has no issue finding a gap, he needs support once he breaks the line. Speed is not an issue, support is.

If speed is not an issue for an NRL class fullback, then why do the other 15 NRL clubs all choose to have lightning fast fullbacks?

Coz the other 15 NRL fullbacks also jump for bombs and put their body on the line in defense, no issue for them

Why hasn't he been jumping for the high ball lately? Lacks confidence with his knee and has not built communication with the wingers who incidentally have been changing every week. How you build confidence at the back with Lote, Ryan, Utai, Brown and a couple of others already used on the wing and we are only at round 8.

You can't use his injury as excuse. When he played fullback BEFORE his injury he refused to catch bombs as well, and did not want to put his body on the line. Nothing to do with his injury.

seeing inu last night diffuse all those bombs from the storm made me green with envy. maybe we should of made a serious move on getting him, goal kicker also.moltzen will take time to become a fullback if thats what sheens wants him as. he has the speed, needs to bulk up more to improve strength.

we lack overall pace in our current back 3, brown and mckinnon are safe under the highball but are not quick. utai has strength isnt quick and is suspect under highball due to his height. we're really missing lote for his overall height, strength and decent speed. as for b ryan, not too sure what he adds anymore, isnt quick, touch and go under the highball and makes more errors than the average player.

Mate - Inu is so hot & cold it is not funny!!

His ability to take a spectacular marks are spoiled by him dropping easy passes, his turnstyle defence & his general lack of enthusiasm!!

He is talented - but does not have the psychology of a quality league player!!

Red is spot on, Inu is the laziest player in the NRL off the ball.
