10 games at Cambo & LO in 24

Our past is a big factor in us being such a basket case.
We need to sever ties with it, put our big boy pants on and grow the hell up as a club.
…and yes, Campbelltown Stadium and Leichhardt Oval are both shitholes compared with Suncorp, Commbank, AAMI Park and QLD Country Bank for a start….CBUS, McDonald Jones, GIO, Allianz…they are both way down the list.
I hear what you're saying and to a point you may be correct but unless we get a purpose built ground which will never happen, what's the alternative? Play out of Commbank or Allianz? It will be always hard to compare a joint venture to a stand-alone

Finally - enough was enough.

We were basically playing away games each week with the amount of “home” grounds we had. What a ridiculous state of affairs we found ourselves in.

Good to see the club has listened to the fans. Currently Leichhardt crowds sit 30% higher on average. I hope the club makes a big marketing push for Campbelltown to lift the crowds out there.

We asked for it and we got it. We should all be supporting a successful return to both grounds. Let’s not turn this into a Leichhardt v Campbelltown thing.
If we start winning and Campbelltown get some games against other Sydney clubs on a Sunday they will sell the place out.
The problem is, we get too may out of Sydney clubs out there. Usually not on a Sunday

Commbank isnt bad is it?

Dump the training grounds and play there.
Use its facilities to build a consistent supporter base of 20-25k EVERY game.
Built right in the heart of Parramatta. The stadium will never be ours no matter how hard we tried. It will always be Parramatta’s home ground not ours. We basically tried to make it a home ground (minus the training there) and it failed. We have more of a chance at Accor stadium, but having 3 teams use it as a home ground doesn’t give us an identity.

always be parramatta's stadium right next to the parramatta leagues club...
As a shared venue Allianz doesn't have a competitors leagues club right next door neither does Accor

Last time we had a decent crowd in Campbelltown was back in 2019 against the Dogs. Had around 15000 in attendance. Since then the club has barely hit 10000. Only this year was the first time since then we’ve got over the 10000 figure and that was against Raiders with 11000. Even the Sydney teams we’ve faced there since 2019 haven’t drawn over 10K fans. I hope it improves but I don’t see how even if the club gets it’s act together.

Allianz might have a chance but given it’s at 40-45K max stadium, most likely the stadium will have a very empty section like Accor does when a regular game is on. I understand people wanting the club to seperate itself from the past, but given that it is very unlikely we’ll get our own stadium built (and one that doesn’t invade other clubs territories) LO and CSS is the only chance the club can provide an identity of some kind. If the club can get approval for a stadium for themselves that’s not LO or CSS than we can possibly move on. But I don’t see that happening.

We don’t have one now.

Hence why they’ve decided to go to LO and CSS. It’s the only chance they have to provide something that stands out from the rest. Using another teams home stadium isn’t going to achieve making an identity for the club.
We have no identity because the club is still tied to Balmain and Wests. Old people still refer to them by these names.
We need to piss them off. Forget they exist. They are the albatross around our neck and the chains round our ankles.

Unless we get approval of our own stadium, it’s very unlikely we do that. Trying to make a home from a stadium that another club uses and one that’s been theirs for a long time is most likely going to fail. I’m sure Dogs and Souths don’t like they both have to share Accor stadium as a home ground. Dogs would probably prefer to play from Belmore oval but NRL wouldn’t approve it permanently. We tried Commbank it’s Parramatta’s only, and Allianz is Roosters home. And moving outta state wouldn’t work they won’t get behind a Sydney team that’s been relocated while they would want a team that’s been built in their area. Especially a team that’s failed.

Reasonable points but Leichhardt and Campbelltown are not the answer either.
1 home ground. 1 only.
