10 games at Cambo & LO in 24

Since no other teams use them as home grounds but us, for now it is a yes. We will not make a home out of a stadium other teams have already made as homes.
For now? As you said we're not getting one for us at all. So we just indefinitely play at venues way below standard to most of our competitors. We're going backwards and there's
No leadership in the joint to make a call.

I said for now because while I don’t see it happening, it could still happen but it is unlikely. Dogs and Souths have Accor, Parramatta has Commbank and Roosters have Allianz. How do you expect to make a home out of these grounds when they’ve been playing out of these grounds well over 15-20 plus years?

Someone once said, the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the second best time is now.
They made those grounds a home by playing there full time. We've never done that, so will never have a home ground.

That’s why they want to move permanently to LO and CSS. It’s the only real chance they have to make it a home. It might work it might not, but using a stadium that no one else uses is what a lot of the fan base has been crying out for ( apart from premierships and finals). While one home ground would be nice, sharing a stadium isn’t the answer either.

Well they could pick one of our home grounds. But they are making decisions for Wests and balmian.
Stuck in the 90s.

Yes, they are holding us back.
If someone makes a decision to only play at Campbelltown or Leichhardt we would lose half our fan base almost instantly.
It’s a unique club being a merger of two former great clubs and one of them was already more or less merged between the inner west and the south west.
Somewhere like Liverpool would be the only location that a true home ground could potentially be built they may appease the majority of Wests Tigers supporters, but even then I think we’d lose a fair chunk of the inner west support.
There is no easy answer, but why not continue lobbying for major upgrades at both Campbelltown and Leichhardt.
Both are multi purpose sporting venues that would benefit different codes and be of great benefit to the State if they were to receive the major upgrades they deserve.
Everything becomes an issue when the on field results are poor, but are quickly overlooked when the on field results are good.

So you guys aren’t happy that games are being played at LO & Ctown again because we’re stuck in the past & lack our own identity but then suggest to play our home games at stadiums where other teams have built that said identity you are craving?
That’s not the gotcha you think it is.

We have no identity because the club is still tied to Balmain and Wests. Old people still refer to them by these names.
We need to piss them off. Forget they exist. They are the albatross around our neck and the chains round our ankles.
Without them there's no Wests Tigers

@Tucker I sense you're younger than I. If you're under 30 I understand how you may not see the relevance in the joint venture. I agree, we are the Wests Tigers. Nobody says different.

Wests nor Balmain's past are holding us back. Nor is Campbelltown or Leichhardt. It's the board. The Wests Tigers Board and their acceptance of mediocrity over the years.

Easts have the newest most fancy stadium. They were shit this year and only luckily fell into the finals. I welcome having two home grounds. When we get our shit together on them they will both become fortresses.

The problem is, I can't say when that will be 🙂

The money is in TV rights. Most supporters watch the game on TV. A full suburban ground is better for the game than a 1/4 full empty glossy stadium. Only die hards will pay to watch a team that is not firing, and they will go and watch them anywhere when they are playing well.

Can you detail the makeup of that board over the years please?

That will be nice for them.
We’ll be long dead by then unfortunately.

At the moment the it would be hard to see how the club is generating any new fans. I can understand at this point how taking the home games back to the two suburban grounds at least will satisfy the fans that turn up to games and have an allegiance to one ground or the other. There are no new stadiums that are going to he built under the current government so for the time being I think it's the best and only sensible option.
