1\. Pat Richards kick offs
2\. Taupau and Gavet
3\. Austin showed Anasta what a real 5/8 does and Anasta will have to pick up his game to keep his spot
4\. Joel Luani will be out there to show other clubs that there is a quality hooker in NSW Cup that can handle first grade
5\. Kurtis Rowe in the same boat as Luani and he will be looking to improve on his last game and trying to seal a spot in the side for the coming weeks
6\. Parra are due for a loss, they havent lost since round 3
7\. They have a nothing forward pack, no where near as aggressive as ours
8\. We have the best attack and they have the worst defence
9\. Adam Blair, never thought i would say this but his offloads are leading to tries and he has become a great part of our team.
10\. Aaron Woods, looking to earn a spot in Origin and will be out there to make a name for himself.

Nice! I like what I see!

Is this the new thing?

We'll struggle without Farah. Parra have been the most impressive side in the comp this yr imo, even more so than us. Looking forward to the forward battle.

The desire in defence that the Eels displayed against the Donkeys was a pleasure to watch.

Hoping to be competitive and see where the cards fall

I'm hoping we're competitive, I'd like to see the competitiveness each week and no head dropping regardless of result.

Parramatta will be tough. On paper their forward pack are not world beaters, but much like our guys, they're playing well as a unit and getting the job done. I think we have them covered in the forwards, provided we turn up with the right attitude and execute well.

I give the Eels an advantage in the backs though. Hayne is playing well, Sandow has hit form once again and Radradra is carving up teams out wide and is very difficult to stop. We need to dominate the Eels up the middle which we are capable of doing and that will hopefully nullify their backline to an extent. There was a lot of emotional energy in their win over the Roosters so they may end up a bit flat coming out against us which helps too.

if we just stick to what's been working for the team as of late - then I can give you 100 reasons why Wests Tigers will beat the Hayne Plain and co. with or without Robert Farah.

Have a sneaking suspicion that the Eels will beat us at our own game this week and we'll get pantsed.

Luani is a capable hooker but I think Peats is playing very well and could be staking a claim for the Blues #9 if Farah isn't right by then.

I wish people would accept the fact that Anasta, if fit, will be our 5/8 for this year.

Potter made two points very clear yesterday on the ABC.

1) Anasta is the perfect foil for Brooks this year and he was Brooks to mature under Anasta as much as he can this year.

2) Austin will get his chances this year and certainly next year when Anasta has moved on.

A champion team will always beat a team of champions. Our no name pack will show the way.

You're rating Parra a team of champions? Heard everything now

Isn't parra our bogey team. For year no. Matter how well tigers are doing, and how bad parra are doing, they always won. As a tiger fan living in parra lands, it has always being a running joke on by my eel fans friends.

If we mussel up front like we have and shut down Hayne we have a chance. Long turn around for both teams.

This will be a real forwards battle - it is where both teams have excelled so far this year. Parras defence in the middle has been outstanding this year although I don't think they have defended against the constant onslaught we have been putting teams under. We have been amazing in our completions especially in the first half of each game and this will need to be the case again if we want to sneak a win ij this one. Not playing at Pirtek is a massive plus for us. Missing Farah will hurt us big time. At full strength I think we would win easily but for this I'm calling a 50/50 game.

Really? Fair dinkum mate. Anasta has more than 260 FIRST grade games under his belt. How many does Austin have? Not denying Austin may have a bit more spark, but Anasta has been pretty good this year ( don't forget we have won 3/5 with him at 5/8). He is here to do a job and so far this year has done it well. As for a real 5/8…..... take the tip buddy, one has played for Australia 4 times and played 10 Origins, the other has never held down a permanent first grade spot. If this had been based on last years form, i'd have no argument with you, but don't just jump on board a bandwagon based on a blokes name. Anasta won't play any different this week than any other, that is , giving his all.

Play them in the forwards and don't try to match them in the backs. If our forwards win the battle, our backs will come into their own.The eels are a dangerous side with Haynes and Sandows playing well, so we need to shut them out, easier said than done. Play them in the centre where we can dominate.

It's the other way around if anything Coolcat. We've won 4 of the last 5 against the Eels and they've only beaten us twice in the last 8 match ups. There have been some close games in there though. No team can be taken lightly this year though.

the thing I worry about is the dummy half running of peats he will get them rolling so please tigers get your marker defence spot on or else we will get smashed.
