2 teams who slide backward in 2025

I see it the opposite. Even when DCE talked think he will do whatever needs to do to go out on a high.
He may do all he can but the fact he is leaving and is a very central, part of the team it may de rail others , Brooks no DCE , Brooks fails , and so on , still be up there but not win the comp

Cherry has one really good year left him. He will now give it all to this squad. Him leaving could galvanise them and see them strive to send him out a winner. It will also make Brooks more accountable.
Next year is next year...they have people working on a replacement.
2025 is all that matters and they have now become a proper contender for mine.

I'm yet to see a Seibold team galvanise under his leadership.

DCE distractions, Turbo with dusty hammy's after 2 weeks....& Captain Seibs at the wheel. Last controversy he overlooked went well over there...

👍🏻
It’s the Magpie half that hates them.

The only teams i have ever hated and still do is Souffs and Parra,Donkeys would be a close 3rd.Conversely i always had respect for Norths Newtown Wests and Illawarra who were all like Balmain in that they often had poor to average sides but always did everything they could to get a win.
They where always clubs with a soul and not mere franchises.

Don't like to put too much stock into the trials.

It's hard to go past the roosters though.
Despite them being consistent winners for so long.
They've lost a lot of talent and haven't replaced, at all, with anywhere near the same quality.
They seem like a club that really lacks any culture.
Just mercenary bag chasers.
With the heart being Teddy, Radley and Collins enough to keep them in the 8? I don't see it....

I think Parra are on the slide too and have been for some time. Moses won't be able to carry that team this year and Lomax may take a while to fit in and find his feet.

Love to see South's continue to fail.
Jamie Humphrey's looks like a class player.
I think he deserves better...

I think this year we may see a shake up and see a few of the better teams back in the middle of the pack.

- How will Penrith go?
- can Dogs continue their rise? I think so.
- and can the dark horse, West's Tigers finally push for the 8? I'm hopeful.
Good call there Demps.
Which 2 do you like in the GF?

Lol...i watched an older episode of Fletch and Hindy last night....asking 3 Roosters players (Mark Nawaqanitawase, Chad Townsend, and Connor Watson) who will be playing in the GF 2025.
The answers were:
Roosters v Penrith
Roosters v Storm
Roosters v Storm

the most noticeable 2 teams that have slid has to be Penrith and Rorters (so far)

😂 I see your point.
I certainly didn’t think the competition would be so even, but I suppose it’s still early days?
I was thinking the top 4 were predetermined?
Storm
Broncos
Panthers
Sharks

Manly looked really dull against the Sharks yesterday.

Without Turbo- they just don't have the points in them. And Turbo hasn't looked fit since the pre season games.

Their best player by a long way yesterday was Olakau'atu who played with a busted wing half the game.

I saw some of the absolute worst defence from an individual player I've ever seen from Lehi Hopoate. We see people complain about Bula..... I saw Hopoate jump TO THE GROUND with his arm barely extended as Sharks players ran at him. It was diabolical.

And Nathan Brown.....

This team is on the cusp of falling apart.

Watch every Sharks try for the 'new sensation' Hopoate's 'efforts'.

He's in every one.

I think the 2025 competition might be a surprising one.

2 sides that 'slide' against expectation- Manly & the Broncos.

Manly is an injury away from ruin. If DCE goes down at all, at 48 years of age, they are done. If Turbo or Jake go down- they will struggle.

Broncos are a timebomb IMO. Their halves are older than Zeus. Madge will rub Haas & Walsh the wrong way, and then the toxic Mam situation has to play out. This is a club in need of a clear out.

Roosters, I believe, will surprise people. Dolphins too. I had Souths coming back, but those injuries look ugly before the season starts.
Thank you Madge...doing your bit to help me out...
