Really, alot of people show how little they really know with the relentless fiztyhenry bashing. As a five eighth, yes he was ordinary. But as a winger he was nowhere near as bad as some people want to think. The same people who bag Fitzhenry would probably get all giddy if we signed David Williams. Now that I think about it, had Fitzy grown a big beard in 2005, he probably would've gone on the tri nations tour….would've has as much right as Williams did.

I agree that either Corby or yes even Politoni should be backup hooker.

Don't know about Carr, haven't seen him but no-one looked good in the GF for the Tigers. The u20s all kcik ass and have good combinations with the other young players (who hopefully will also be in the NRL at some stage..)

And Fitzy has been signed to the Magpies, not WT, so i wouldn't envisage him making the top squad any time soon…

Wests Tigers has also signed utility Daniel Fitzhenry.
Fitzhenry returns after a two year stint with Hull Kingston Rovers. He played 43 matches, mostly at hooker and also filled in across the backline.

Where else is he going to play? surely he would be 7th choice on the wing so i cant see him playing there & even though we have at least 4 better options that can play hooker in the lower grades i cant see Sheens picking them over Fitzhenry

i remember John Wilson scoring try after try off Fitzy's very accurate grubbers. I dont think ive ever seen someone find the in goal as much as what Fitzy did. If could have got rid of that stuttering accross field running, he could have been a handy 5/8 i reckon.

Old Fitzys kicking game was not that bad when playing in the halfs with Withers. I used to hate how most of the time the play just stoped with him when ever we had a bit of a role on. Oh well thats in the past, back on topic I just hope we dont need a back up hooker except for origin.
