Too early to tell at this stage. That trial is still a month away. Here are the dates for all the trials though:

Do players like akepira, davis and pritchard get a run in the trials before daniela and brown ??or other way round ? thoughts ?

I think ALL fringe first graders will get a run in the trials…......

but for 60 mins at least against the Rorters we will see a near full strength 1 to 17...........

They should all get a run, for the players that play in the same position, 40 minute halves is the normal sort of run they get. Sheens could pair up Davis and Pritchard and Daniela and Brown if they are all going to get a run in the centres for example. Akeripa at 106kg will most likely be in the backrow I would imagine.

I dont think that it'll have anything to do with whether theyve been playing at the club or whether theyve come from another. Im sure that at the end of the day it'll just come down to who Sheens is thinking about for first grade. In terms of which player gets a run Id say of the ones youve named the only certainty is Brown.

THE days of an off season are well and truly gone.

There wouldn’t be a club, district or divisional volunteer who hasn’t been working for our game since the final whistle of the grand finals was blown.

Thanks to the Daily Mercury, I am able to give you a monthly update on how things have been progressing from my role as chair of the Northern Division and QWRL director.
NRL trial looms

THE NQ Toyota Cowboys v Wests Tigers NRL pre-season trial at Walkerston next month is shaping up well.

A huge effort is being put in, with special thanks to Western Suburbs.

There is a fair bit of interest in the Mackay Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islanders and South Sea Islanders team, which is set to tackle the Mackay district All Stars in a curtain-raiser. I think the concept of an invitational team is the way to go and with Ritchie Irelandes looking after one team and Kevin Langer the other, there will be plenty of players wanting to play.

Speaking of the trial, we are sorting out bus transport to Wests. I will have more information on that soon…..............

Dont hate life...

seeming benji will be unavailable for the 1st trial it would be wise to try this against the cowboys

1st trial

1\. Taumata
6\. Lui
7\. Moltzen

2nd Trial

1\. Moltzen
6\. Benji
7\. Taumata

3rd Trial

1\. Lazerus
6\. Benji
7\. Moltzen

Thoughts?

I'm thinking likewise BT, but considering we have seen Moltzen at 7 and 1 and he's a guarantee somewhere in the 13, i'd like to see Mullaney and Lui be given at least 80 mins in their preferred positions.I gotta feeleing Taumata will be our 14.

Didn't Sheens say he'll be using fringe first graders and youngsters in the Mackay trial…....Cowgirls will be doing the same........

Don't think many topliners will get a run in the first 1...

Foundation Cup will give us a better idea into Sheens mindset.......
