2010 Wests Tigers trials.

How come most other teams that have trials this weekend have named their sides…...

C'mon Tim pull your finger out!!!!!!

It's like it a BIG secret........ :sign:

It seems with no Big League deadline to force the hand that we may have to hang out a whisp longer this week.

Oh well

Former Wests Tigers full-back Shannon Gallant will line up against his old club in his first appearance for the Cowboys.

I've gotten frustrated with this. You'd think today would be reasonable. How hard is it to list a squad somewhere. I'll give it until tommorrow but if nothing listed by then, I'm giving the trip a miss. Just to late to organise and I'd like to have some idea who will be on show before forking out my hard earned.

YOUNG GUNS GIVEN A CHANCE IN FIRST TRIAL
By Wayne Cousins
Tuesday, 9 February 2010
Wests Tigers will field a team full of rising young talent and new signings for its first trial of 2010 on Friday, February 12.
The first trial will be played against the North Queensland Cowboys at Tiger Park, Walkerston (near Mackay) at 8pm (Qld time).
Coach Tim Sheens has rested several of his regular first graders for the game.
Jake Mullaney, Jake Clarke, Jay Florimo, Jason Schirnack, Rhys Curran, Andrew Fifita and Chris Corby have been rewarded for their fine performances over summer and for the Wests Tigers U20s team in 2009 with selection in the team.
New signings Geoff Daniela, Junior Moors, Englishman Mark Flanagan, and Arana Taumata will step out for the first time in Wests Tigers colours.
Daniel Fitzhenry will pull on the Wests Tigers jersey once more after spending the past few seasons in the English Super League. This time around, the 2005 premiership winning winger will wear the nine jersey, a number he wore whilst playing hooker at times for Hull KR.
One player hoping for a change of luck will be Blake Lazarus, who has missed the past two seasons following knee reconstructions. He has been selected at half-back where he will partner Florimo in a young halves combination.
“The coaching staff is looking forward to seeing how the NYC players from last year can make the transition to the top grade,’’ said Wests Tigers Football Manager Alan Mair.
“We are also interested in seeing how our new recruits go. The players have been training hard and are looking forward to getting out on the field.
“There are a number of players fighting for spots in the team to play the Sydney Roosters in the Foundation Cup on February 21.”
Former Wests Tigers full-back Shannon Gallant will line up against his old club in his first appearance for the Cowboys.

Guess Fitzy's wing days are over....glad he hasn't lost any pace...

i can;t wait for the incisive donuts out of dummy half

edit - no Brown, I assume that means he's a given for the first grade team

Benji likes Lui & Taumata inthe halves …he likes Moltzen in #1, said he is a very good fullback.

he is a good fullback, but hes a better half back then lui or taumata. that is obvious

That is one of the dumber rules in the NRL. No way should trial games count for suspensions…
