If Miller is the best option I would prefer him at 9 and Farah at 7

They're both specialists in their respective positions Happy, they're not going to be switched around like that.

No disrepect Willow but the way they played together last year with Farah at dummy half and Miller at first reciever didn't instill any confidence in me that we will make the Top 8 let alone challenge for the premiership
When Sheens (or by coincidence) they switched they looked far more dangerous

And where does Miller defend if he's playing hooker? He is not up to the defensive work that Farah puts in in the middle of the field.

I think you need as little re-organisation as possible and that means (if Lui is out of the picture) that Miller and Marshall need to be the halves.

He would defend the same place he would defend if he was playing halfback Helmesy
I totally understand what you are both saying about playing out of position
They could both switch between roles quite easily
But if anyone on the Forum can see us winning the premiership with Miller at 7 and solely playing first reciever they are going to be very shocked at were we finish on the table With two years NRL experience behind him yes he will 200% the footballer he is now and will be a different story

Happy, he was totally put in a box when he played firsts. Benji and Robbie kept him out of the game. Still, I thought he played really well.

You must have been watching a different game to me.

Swapping an Australian 9 to 7 and the NYC halfback of the year to 9? Come on Happy, are you Sheensy? Fess up.

Next you'll be switching Beau to the front row and Big red to fullback.

Hammer Miller was struggling at the end of the season with NYC
Again I will reiterate that Miller will make it But not next season and it could do more harm than good sticking him there before he is ready
The call I am making is for the good of the team All I am saying that with Miller at first reciever next season I can't see us winning the premiership With Miller at 9 and Farah at 7 I give us a slight hope and it will give Miller the experience of playing NRL and getting use to the speed etc differences without the added pressure of being a 1st reciever as well

There's simply no way Miller will play at 9 and Farah at 7\. It's a dream theory.

More of a nightmare

Why would you….Robbie is the second best Hooker in the Game and Miller one of the most talented halves around.

All I am saying that with Miller at 7 we won't win the premiership in 2012
If everyone is happy with that leave it as is
If you want to win the premiership in 2012 we need to think of another option
If you go back and look at the games when Miller played look at when we played well and looked like we had some cohesion and looked dangerous in attack
Miller was dummy half and Farah was 1st reciever …...
If you look at the threads at the time a lot of people were agreeing with me

We won't win a premiership with Miller at 9 either.

Miller is 19 years old, still developing, still learning and training with the fulltime squad in the off-season. Give the kid a chance before writing him off. He played 3 games in FG where he understandably took a backseat to Farah and Marshall. He's got the potential to be a very good 7 and didn't make the 2011 NYC team of the year based on his looks or name.

We are more of a chance of a few things with Miller at Hooker
1 Giving him an easier introduction into a fulltime NRL gig

2 Not ruining a potential future career half back by having NRL teams try and destroy him and have him making rash decisions from the play making role

3 Give us more creativity on both sides of the ruck especially with our left and right sides at full strength

I don't have a problem in 2013 with Miller with a year under his belt going into first reciever
But I think we will fail big time in 2012 and risk ruining the kid
And if we stuff Miller up what is the plan for 2013 and beyond

…although it's probably done and dusted, and many may not agree with me, hower If Moltzen comes back, and Lui goes to the cowboys, I'd make him the halfback - Brown is too good at the back IMO.

If Brown was ever going to get a genuine shot at fb you'd think it would have been this yr. All the problems the tigers had at fb for the majority of the yr and Brown didn't get a look in. I think its safe to say Sheens doesn't rate him as a fb. And with the way Moltzen finished the yr, i can't work out why anybody would want to play him anywhere else should he stick around

Willow When at any stage have I written the kid off

I am hoping the club will try and make his introduction to the the first reciever role easier that's all
Are you and everyone willing to take a chance that the pressure of playing first reciever in one of the hardest teams to play with in the NRL as a first reciever at and possibly ruins the kid for the future

Willow his form in NYC at the end of the season was far from where it was earlier in the season

I have very high expectations for the future of Miller as well but lets not rush them on him thats all I am asking

Well, I'm a Jacob miller fan as well, however if we give Moltzen an entire off season running halfback drills, etc… I think he'd slot in really well, and Miller can wait another year or so.

Unfortunately, despite what i think should happen what probably _**will**_ happen is Moltzen to 1, miller to 7, and brown to fight it out for a bench spot with joel reddy.

We will find out in the next few weeks if not sooner the situation with Lui. However, I ask the people who don't believe Miller could produce in his first year: if they would of bagged Lui in his first year? Yes Miller may not have everything right now, but us as Tigers fans should be getting behind the kid and watch him grow as he has plenty of potential and realistically is the first actual half we've had since Prince; Lui and Moltzen were both 5/8ths, Morris was a god knows what!

Yeah I agree but I reckon 2013 will be his year.

We need to fill the halfback role in 2012 and make sure we dont lose Miller in the process.
