They are saying SCG or SFS most likely. Bring it on.

Hope Timmy has a blinder. Rub their noses in it.

Yes yes, we all want things done differently, but as I explained once before, its got nothing to do with the NRL or the clubs. Fox and Nine choose solely on the fact that they want the most viewers for that particular game and time slot.

We are all probably pretty lucky to of received the Sunday afternoon game for round 1, and if it had of been any other team that is a bit more popular (referring to the sharks here) It would have most probably been a Monday night or Saturday night game, being the fact that Sunday arvo games on Fox are one of the last games to be decided on.

To my belief after having a good long chat with Brett Clarke at Concord a while back, the system that happens to allocate games goes like this: Nine have first choice on 2 games, may it be both Friday night games or 1 Friday game and the Sunday afternoon delayed game (4pm). Then Fox get choice on Monday nights game then both live games on Saturday. Then Nine get choice on their 3rd game, then fox get choice on the last 2 being Sunday afternoon 2pm game and the other Saturday game.

here is a table to make it as easy as possible for people to understand:

1\. **NINE** > Both Friday night games OR one Friday night game and the Sunday delayed game (4pm).
2\. **FOX** > Monday nights game and two other games games (_usually the first two saturday night games: 5:30pm and 7:30pm games_).
3\. **NINE** > The second Friday night game OR the Sunday afternoon game (4pm delayed).
4\. **FOX** > Last allocation of games, the third Saturday night game and the Sunday arvo game (2pm)

So in that order the games get chosen for allocations, and they are allocated with only ONE thing in mind, and that's VIEWERS. Nine and Fox make their profits through advertising, and the more viewers they receive the more money they make.

That is why when a blockbuster game is on, for example Bulldogs VS. Wests Tigers round 1 2011, unless nine pick up on it (which obviously they didn't) it usually gets picked up for Monday nights by fox, as that is when fox receive most viewers.

So ladies and gentlemen, that is the reason the Tiges usually always end up with more Monday night games then other clubs, because "they are a victim of their own success" Quoted from Brett Clarke. The Wests Tigers are the most popular in NSW when it comes to TV ratings, and only second to the Brisbane Broncos overall in Australia, thus the reason the Broncos always receive more Friday night games than others.

So let us all just hope and pray we all get what we want, hopefully with the success and hype surrounding the Tigers this year, following up from the last 2 years, its a cracker season and we as fans get what we always wanted.

Thanks Markotiger,

I thought that's how it worked !

Still…..if the NRL had a bit of control and common sense, they'd see two Sydney teams in a game at Gosford should NOT be on a FRI night with ppl having to deal with F3 gridlock.....clubs do get several requests re: the draw too.
Maybe Manly think it benefits them

A lot of the crowd at gosford will be from the cc anyway so maybe that's y nrl/manly has no dramas with it being on a Friday, especially seeing as last time was a sell out
