2013 expectations

My expectations:
1. Tim Sheens and his entire coaching staff are removed.
2. We get a god damned halfback.
3. We get a god damned fullback.
4. Our strike players vastly improve their performances of 2012
5. Marshall plays no.6 no matter what.
6. We defend our goal line like it is our daughters virginity
7. We play with structure in attack
8. We develop a structure for defence
9. We learn to kick, chase the kick and trap players down their own end
10. We develop different game plans for each side we come up against
11. Players stay in their positions all year. If someone is out, a like for like change only is permissible.
12. We play with some mongrel. Goodbye to the nice guys…hello to the bunch A-holes.
13. The only attacking kicks Benji can do are grubbers for repeat sets or tries ala Canberra win in 2012.
14. Players are dropped for consistent poor performances. That goes for ALL of them.
15. We play with heart, pride and determination
16. We raise our ball handling skill level
17. We cut out the penalties
18. We reduce our unforced errors
19. We train hard not just all off season, but all year as well
20. Mandatory psychiatrist sessions for all.
21. We develop a winning culture right throughout the club
22. We work as a team
23. We reduce our extracurricular activities - both media wise and good will.
24. Adam Blair is to be used properly. On top of that he is to be given strict KPI's that must be met every week. He was the dud buy of 2012, he will be in contention for second rower of the year 2013 or he will play the next 2 years in state cup.

And lastly....
I am expecting a consistent performance week in, week out for the entire 26 rounds.

Do I think it will happen? Absolutely 100% not.
Why? Because right at this point in time, not a damned thing will change.

Youre happy to limp into the finals next year yoss?
Theres that mediocre, average attitude that plagues this joint.

Ladder standings…..and how we actually played this year.....two very very different things

The question was about expectations. I expect we'll makethe finals next year.
As for the last line, I thought we played pretty average for 90% of the 2010 minor premiership but we were two points off beating the eventual premier in the GF qualifier…

Some well thought out points Stryker & thanks mate, I had a laugh at points 6 & 20\. My expectations next year aren't as high as they were this year. I still see fullback/halfback being a problem again next year as I have a feeling Tedsco will come back via the 20's until he get's his confidence/form back. If you have a look at the top 5 sides this year, IMO they are the 5 best fullback/halfback combo's in the comp. Barba/Keating, Slater/Cronk, Inglis/Reynolds Stewart/DCE & Bowen/Thurston. Until Tedsco's back we'll probably have Moltzen/Anasta or Ryan/Moltzen. One role of a fullback i believe is their support play & I think we lacked this big time this year. Hopefully we sign a genuine halfback before the June 30 deadline or it's a top priority signing for 2014\. Also that he's allowed to play his natural game & steer the forwards around & not just be a link man & pass it to Benji or Farah.

Expectation s 2013 should be same as every year…top 4 finish. the difference between 2010/2011/2012 must be we don't leave our run until the last 4 - 6 rounds so we are not put under so much mental & physical pressure and either fall short or get there and have nothing left in the tank. To achieve this the onus has absolutely to be we start fast and be in the top 4 all of the season .. With respect to Sheens and his senior players this should be their key KPI for 2013 .They individually & collectively have let the Team down in 2012 so At any time they fall short of being in the top 4 his & their positions become at risk.

Welcome back to the real Wests Tigers people. We will dish out the same shite as do every season that makes teams like the roosters put us down as wins with permanent marker. Were going to be flat out desgraceful and until sheens poliely decides to leave we can begin a rebuilding process. Think about it who should we pick and stick with next year guys like Nofoaluma , Korobete and Tedesco but good old sheensie will back the usual duds like Moltzen, Ayshford and Iosefa. This sort of thing is why we are not going to be good for a while and why we are arresting development of something we have never truly had an elite young team

I have expectations for next season , just not very good ones

We will finish 13th or lower and don't worry our merry coach will still keep his job

Sheens and Humphreys will take the unprecedented step of sacking the fans for not being loyal enough and not having faith

It will be a good season if we manage to avoid the wooden spoon next year, both the eels and the panthers are going to improve, even easts may grow another leg now smith is gone, seriously the only club in a worse position than us is the warriors, and they give their youngsters a go, so they will probably improve next year too, we have proved we can't compete with the top 8 teams - we are nowhere near them with consistency and attitude, so where do we fit? The titans and the knights are certainly going to improve, but where are we, stuck with the same roster, the same coach and, except for a noted half a dozen, the same under performing and over-rated stars that have been bumbling their way through comps for the past 7 years, this club needs a reality check in a big way - the results speak for themselves ….......... lots of talk, very little action.

After last night's showing of Humphrey's on the game plan, I can honestly say next year will be our unlucky '13\. I truly believe the wooden spoon is fast approaching. It makes me very sad that this club ignores the pain that the supporters are going through. Everyone knows whats needed for us, even rival supporters, our bosses response is to paint the gym pink.

My expectations and the expectation that will actually be met are two different things. My expectation is that serious, well thought out changes are to be made to all areas we struggled in this season. Defensively is the biggest area needed to change. The entire mentality of the club in this regard needs to change. I believe the individual form of players will improve with a fresh mentality too.

What i think will happen though is little. We'll talk the talk, stress the importance of an improved defense. However, the mentality of the club, it's fabric, will not change and this means that unless massive changes in personnel and serious upgrades in personnel, things will not change as we'd hope. Why? Because the methods of the man in charge will still largely be the same and this is our problem.

Yeah, double dose last night. First Humpty then Beau on the footy show.

Did he really have to ask where all the supporters were on Saturday night ??? :roll :roll

West's Tigers supporters have finally had enough, and if the players, coach and ceo have not got it by now, they never ever will.

Sick of the whole dam lot of them. :brick: :brick: :brick:

Apart from sacking the coach, want do you want him to do?

next year will be the best year in the wests tigers' history since 2005.

in the off season:
1\. sheens will tell anasta to take control of the game, work on his kicking game and running game all off season.
1\. simmons will come and instil mongrel, passion, aggression and attitude.
3\. we will get a couple of props, one on the bench and one for depth.
4\. we will get a back up halfback and a fullback in case of an injury

throughout the season:
1\. we will play consistent footy for all 26 games.
2\. whenever a player underachieves, or doesn't show courage and passion for the jersey, they will be dropped.
3\. anasta will control the game, with benji and farah doing the occassional kicking.
4\. woods, galloway and blair will keep the defense tight around the ruck as well as chewing up huge metres.
5\. lawrence will have his best year withouth injuries
6\. koro will be leading try scorer outside lawrence
7\. we willl be in the top 2
8\. we will win the premiership

if all that's done, then dont see a reason for sheens to leave.
2013 is our year boys.. FIRE UP TIGERS :sign:

We were a game off the finals and had a shocking run with injuries. As with pretty much every club, if we can keep our best squad fit we'll make the finals as a minimum.

I've always had this attitude but this year floored me and I can't see us improving much next year either.

but I'll probably have turned my attitude around by March 2013

With the current coach? Not likely. And we'll all be 1 year older. too…

Yeah, you know him, the same guy who coached them to a top 4 position in 2010 and 2011…
Personally I think it's time for a change but to suggest the guy is a dope and incapable of getting a top 8 position is a bit much.

A year older? Good.

Don't think anyone thinks he's a dope , yoss.
He has , however , made some decisions that turned out looking pretty dopey this year.
We need fresh ideas ….and he was incapable of getting us in a top 8 position this year when we started as favourites.
Love to see a new coach with the talent we have available.
