There are a few contenders fore halfback:
- benji (had a diesent season at 7 althought he will get more room and ball at)
- braith (experience and maturity after years of league. My personal favourite for halfback)
- moltzen (had pretty much no game time at 7, stick him at fullback)
- miller (definite potential after leading the tigers to a toyota cup premiership)

If moltzen doesn't have a killer off season, IT'S MILLER TIME!
Well it should be anyway.

Yet u still post… Lol

My votes for miller,.. At least the first 4 rounds, give him a shot at it full time. Depends on tedesco a fair bit too. Braiths big enough to be a lazy lock.... Steer miller round a bit. Be interesting watever happens... As long as benji isn't it... He needs more room, less decisions to make.

What games were you watching?

What is the obsession with people wanting Anasta at halfback? When has he ever played there?

ANASTA IS NOT A HALBACK!!!! :brick:

I agree he's not a half back but he only came here to be a half back. The rooters had Pearce and the only reason he agreed on the deal to come here was to play half. Sorry to say folks but we have an old half back for 2013.

Deal was with an old coach. Doubt his contract says "void if not wearing 7"

Exactly - hopefully the days of the players saying what happens are over - Braith is being paid to play football and i believ he is professional enough to accept any decision by the coach - i will be very surprised if he is not playing at lock.

Agreed. Plus he would've thought he'd be 6 and Benji 7 yeah?

I can see that combo being ok BUT yeah it's gotta be miller with benj at 5/8.

What are you basing this on? You do realize the man who signed him to play there is gone don't you? Why would Potter automatically think along the same lines as Sheens? he wouldn't. Anasta is not a halfback, any sane individual would know this :deadhorse:

Why would he sign on to play halfback? If anything, he signed in the hope of playing 5/8 seeing as how Marshall was playing a lot of the time at halfback this season. What does Pearce have to do with anything?

A little birdy (rooster actually) I know told me.
Pearce is the roosters half, right? Anasta used to play in the halves and has always wanted to go back there but has had limited time due to others like Pearce, Carney etc etc.
His deal with the tigers was for him to have his wish and to play in the halves, most likely at 5/8 and Benji at 7.
As I said a little birdy told me.
However what some of you have pointed out is that there has since been a new coach appointed so I'm not sure if this still stands. Just a question. Does the coach employ players or does the football club? I'm sure the coach would have a big say.
Anyway IMO he is slower and a much better back rower these days.

Benji at half with either anasta or Sironen at five eight. If I had to choose between miller or sironen in the halves with benji it would defiantly be Sironen. Plus I think benji played well at half and the main issue was having no halves partner most of the yr and no hooker for a lot of games or go forward. Play benji at half Sironen at five eight with anasta on the bench

Miller for mine. Looking at our squad I actually can't find a place in the top 17 for Moltzen unless there are injuries. I think Moltzen will play a lot of NSW cup next year.

Sironen or Miller?

It is Miller by the length of the straight.

Not at 6 it isn't. He'll get his chance to impress in the off-season at 7, whether he outshines the other contenders, we'll wait and see.

I don't think so I reckon there is a struck match between them.

and as for Anasta as a half back being stupid , he currently plays in a half aside system and does about 30% of the kicking. in that set up there is little difference between 6 and 7.
he will be considered for half back. that said I expect him to play back row
