2014 BENCH

I'm looking at all these names, and I'm getting excited. We don't have the room for all of them Tapau, Gavet, Patterson etc all looking to crack the starting side, with BMM, Fulton, Sirro, Balir and Galloway all trying to hold onto their spots. If Potter picks on performances, this will create awesomw competion for spots. We will see their best each week, or be dropped. Is this whaty it feels like to have some quality depth?? Can't wait for 2014\. Bring it on, along with a quality defensive coach and conditioning coach. :sign:

I have been saying that for a while now, he lacks speed. I believe Simona and Nofo should be playing inside of Richards and Koroibete.

1\. James Tedesco
2\. Pat Richards
3\. Tim Simona
4\. David Nofoaluama
5\. Marika Koroibete

6\. Blake Austin
7\. Luke Brooks

8\. Aaron Woods
9\. Robbie Farah
10\. Keith Galloway
11\. Curtis Sironen
12\. Liam Fulton
13\. Ben Murdoch-Masila

14\. Sauso Sue
15\. Corey Patterson
16\. Ava Seamunafangi
17\. Nathan Brown/Jack Buchanan

I reckon that this is the best side I have seen so far but I think Lawrence might get a run and I'd have Halatau there somewhere.

With Simona & Brown out for up to 6 months I'm going with…

1\. Teddy
2\. Koro
3\. Nofo
4\. Lawrence
5\. Richards
6\. Austin
7\. Brooks
8\. Woods
9\. Farah
10\. Keithy
11\. Siro
12\. BMM
13\. Fulton

14\. Blair
15\. Ava
16\. Sue
17\. Mr T

Sorry to say I cant see a starting spot for Fulton, he will be a benchie at best on limited minutes as well as he is too small and slow for the modern game

Maybe u need glasses to see better… Fulton won 3 best player awards last week for 2013.. He will be one of the first guys picked next year...

He will start, but with the new squad his game time will be reduced i believe,

Its so hard to fit them all in when fit,
When we look at a player like Buchanan who has played all year, and now doesn't even get a look in, for everyone's starting 17.

Yes he is a nice guy Fulton and I would vote for him as well but sometimes he just needs to get out of the way and let other players do their job.
You like tackling Liam then stick to tackling..You don't need to handle the ball in every set of six…that doesn't help anyone.

8\. Woods
9\. Farah
10\. Galloway
11\. BMM
12\. Siro
13\. Fulton

14\. Seumanufagi
15\. Sue/Blair
16\. Taupau
17\. Patterson/Buchanan

Sauces metres are made in most by returning kick offs… 5 runs from deep in goal out to the 10m line is 100m or best part there of, and Galloway eats up those returns alot. Stats dont tell the whole story, I would have Ava's metres and how they are made over how Keithy goes about making his, anyday of the week. Every prop can run a kick off out, Sauce just seems to be the pig of choice for us most often.

Tapau was going ok at the start of the yr when called up otherwise got minimal minutes, he is stuck behind a log jam of props, and most Doggies fans are spewing he is leaving... Gavet is an unknown really...

Galloway isnt a special prop, he is the definition of a bog stock base performing prop, nothing more nothing less. On the other hand, Blair isnt perfect, but once we get a team together that is somewhat cohesive and functional, players like Blair with those one percenters, charging down kicks, good wrestle, quick play the balls, they are the little things that can unlock a game between two evenly matched and competent football sides.

Spot on B n W.

Galloway not up to first grade anymore. Tapau will be in the starting line up, together with Richards.

The backline should include some of the following:-

Nofo, Koro, Tedesco, Moltzen, Lawrence, Austin, Lulia, Anasta and Richards.

Simona will be out for some time so some surprises, depending on trial form could be:-

Mr. T, Rowe, and Hitchcox.

I'd like to see big Ava on the bench, think he deserves it, never takes a backward step. Also hope Blair puts on another 5kg & plays more of an impact role.

Ava to me has to get a spot.

I wonder where Blair fits in ?

I think we may see the 8,10 & 13, all used similarly, which may involve a 2 or 3 player rotation similar to front rowers used as locks.

Should be interesting.

For the first time in a long time we have competition for almost every spot….

Maybe Robbie is the only that can be guaranteed starting line up...

Every one else can expect the chop with bad form...

Whats the story with Moltzen?

Agree 100%

This is something we have not seen at this club in a long time.

Moltzen is up and running, leg going ok apparently.

Hard to believe some people are writing off Galloway. Before injury at the start of the year he was in career best form. Uninjured in the form he was in he would have played Origin ahead of Woods for sure.

Personally reckon that BMM would be wasted playing as a lock

8 Woods
9 Farah
10 Keefy
11 Fulton
12 BMM/ Sue
13 Blair

14 Halatau
15 Taupau
16 Patterson
17 Sironen
18 Ava
19 Brown

Do my eyes deceive me? People are suggesting Galloway and Fulton aren't up to our starting 13? I think you have vastly inflated opinions of our new/young guys if you think we will be at our best without these two.
