Fulton is a little bit understandable but I would never write him off. I can understand wanting a bigger pack but we don't have anyone who can do what Liam does

Fulton was one of our best and most consistent this year. The team needs a work horse to make those tackles around the ruck. Farah, Blair and Fulton are quite effective in this role.

Will be extremely intriguing to see what the makeup of the side will be come round 1.
 
Plenty of players should be gearing up for the preseason of their life, time to show how badly you want it!

I think everyone forgets how much we missed his go forward and his size, makes him a deterrent in defence. And his stops attackers at first contact. Something that not all forwards can do.

If our spine and galloway, woods, siro, fulton and sue stay reasonably healthy and play 80-90% of games we'll go alright next year. Woods and galloway are crucial to the team.
 
I'm just hoping it is far more uncomfortable than the special chairs they currently have

Give a good old wooden bench to sit on ,splinters and all ,to encourage the buggers to want to try and get off it

For mine, Galloway's fate will be sealed within the first few games of 2014\. I thought he was pivotal to our success in 2013 and his injury was a killer blow for the club. I don;t know enough about Tupau or Gavet, but more of the same stuff from Galloway in 2014 won't be good enough for him to hold his spot as a starting prop. If he takes his game to another level, it will be to his benefit (in terms of rep status) and ours. But, he needs to step up.

pretty sure this will be the team running out rd 1.: ava, sue and buchanan could be considered unlucky but their time will come as well. the only issue with the starting 13 is i consider bmm, fulton and sirro all as edge backrowers.
we have enough depth but later it will come down to individuals earning their position and maitaining it.
 
im not sure if paterson slots into either our starting side or our bench side. he'll have to prove himself first in my eyes. depends how much he's on i guess too but i cant see him displacing sue or ava that easily without playing an NRL or NSW cup game…

Sorry mate but disagree there. I think he will def be in the 17, and close to the starting 13.

he might be, but should he be given that in round 1? I dont think he should push out Sue or Ava. and with the rest fit that's exactly what has to happen.

And Buchanan, Sue and Ava all miss out. I dont think they should in round 1\. If paterson proves himself to be better than some then he can push out ava, buchanan, taupau etc.
 
I'd be very surprised if Patterson didn't get a starting spot in the top 13\. He is experienced, can damage opposition with his hard running and a solid defender.
FMD he is going to be completely sink or swim. Same situation with Greg Bird when he moved to Titans. Hopefully Patterson has his head screwed on right and will really take this as an opportunity to make his mark. Could be a very very good buy for us or could turn into nothing (hence why just the 1 year contract)

I just hope everyone is fit in time for round one. I don't expect us to come out guns blazing and look like title contenders but I'm just really keen to see a new look Tigers squad
 
Is it just me or does a starting 13 need to be named before even considering a bench (for 2014)?

To all the kids (and those who should know better) - please stop using this type of garbage to pump up your favorite players and load crap on those you don't rate, or (perhaps more importantly) don't know.

That advice is particularly for those few who have little real knowledge of rugby league aside from reading online NRL stats - but are happy to pose as an expert,

They do so despite having obviously only watched the game for a few years.

It is both transparent and disrespectful!
