2014 onwards, need FPN

hey guys, based on our recruitment since potter, im glad that martin taupau has been signed, good young prop, but not too keen on patty richards at this stage during his career, was thinking the signing of frank-paul nuuausala would be an excellent addition to our 2nd row stocks. now that we have released eddy pettybourne and the fact that we have a lot of guys who we will most likely not resign who are out of contract at the end of the year, i think its a good time to sign FPN before a team like the warriors snap him up. He is solid in defense, has good line speed and would probably be our only 2nd rower to put fear into opposition teams as he has that line bending ability, very powerful and at the ripe age of 26\. would love to see him bought to our club and offered a starting 2nd row position next year, i think he is exactly what we need as the 2nd row position is an area we are really lacking in atm. thoughts?

(first post in this account btw had one before but forgot it from a while back lol)

Well it might happen The Mole said his more likley to join us now since we let Eddy leave early. i think he will be a great signing we need big fowards and were doing that with the signings.

You and the mole mate..he knows jack,

I agree mate.

I think everyone needs to be realistic, and assess what is a reasonable and effective recruit.

He is not sbw, but he is solid in both attack and defence. And adds some size and depth to position that we lack size in currently.

He is also in our price range, and we may be able to get the roosters to throw in a chunk of his contract as well.

Can't be all bad can it?

I wouldn't be buying him. I'd rather promote Lovett, Vela and Santi.

cant just throw every junior we have into the NRL next year, we'll get slaughtered, need a balance of experience in there too

So you're suggesting if we don't sign FPN then we don't have experience?

Don't know where u got that from :/ i'm saying that we can't just throw in all our juniors into the NRL next year. FPN would be a good addition as he has size/power, good in atk/def and is experienced, he would be great for us, and a better option to start than lovett, vela, santi imo. On the experienced 2nd row options we have i don't see much 'good' there atm besides fulton?

pettybourne and FPN are made of the same mould- good when the team is going good, crap when the team is.

we need more of an enforcer- big willy comes to mind. dont think there is anyone available in marker there tbh…

we signed blair for this role and he turned out to be a dud- we either need to get the best out of him or sign another big name forward or look to super league for ex- rep players who can at least give us 1 if not 2 years

i have no suggestions though unfortunately

I see your point but i dont put pettybourne and FPN in the same mould. Even when the roosters weren't going so good, FPN has stood up and has been solid throughout his career, tbh besides this yr and 2010, roosters have been quite ordinary in 2011/12 and FPN has been good, i think he would serve us well

Is our pack really that small?

8.Galloway/Blair
9.Farah
10.Woods/Ava/Buchanan

11.Fulton
12.Thomson/BMM
13.Sue/Siro(2014)

a few more aswell. Plus the young blokes in the 20's. Gavet and Santi have big raps.

For me Ava, Sue + Sirro have been awesome. Sirro is already one of the best 1 v 1 tackles in the team!

LOVE!!! Frank Paul the wrecking Ball! He is a bigger faster more consistent version of pettybourne along with having at least one hand instead of two feet to catch with. Tbh id be paying up to 300k for him, great player

good but dumb also gives away a lot of stupid penalties at cruical times in the game actually thats perfect for this team to sign!

The way he has been playing he is trying to impress someone….this always is a problem , sign him and you could get a bigger version of Pettybourne!

Like that awesome 1on 1 he missed on Fifita on Friday

Gee Politis must be sick of giving away new cars to Roosters players

We need to get someone from the Roosters to show us how they keep their salary cap in order , we seem to have no idea
