Excuse my ignorance, but why are Woods and Farah not in the All Stars team?

You would have to ask Uncle Wayne that Flip….he selected the All Star team this year...Fans selected the Indig side....

Well that's interesting, thanks Geo. It's hardly what I'd call an 'all star' team lol

Didn't the fans once upon a time pick the All Star team ? OH Wayne's in charge , i'm sorry Bennett didn't mean to undermine you

You have to be 1/8 indigenous which I guess makes sense.

God I don't get why people are so bothered with this concept? Brooks or any other player is gonna play 40-50 mins tops- injuries are more or less luck. If he gets injured, so be it- that's a chance they take with the contact sessions anyway.

I know we have to produce a player but would much prefer somebody more dispensable like Lawrence or Galloway

Yeah, thats why Bennett picked Corey Parker from his club. It will only take one star to go down and opposing coaches will start screaming about Bennett picking the players.

Interesting to see how Foran and Pearce combine.
Could be the early indication of not too far distant halves pairing.

I always found the All stars game very entertaining. It's great to see young Brooks picked in the team. It will be a wonderfull experience for him.

Wayne picking the team i spose ensures we don't get any troll votes.

I think in one of the years gone by, Daniel Fitzhenry almost got picked because of interwebz trolling.

Bloody impressive effort WT's

One player in the Top 40 and he is on the bench

What? That's not the top 40\. There is one side of indigenous players and another with one rep from every club plus a couple of the coaches selections. We've got no indigenous players so we were only ever likely to have one player.

ALL STARS GAME TO FEATURE RULE CHANGES
NRL News
February 11, 2015Facebook0Twitter0
THE NRL will trial rule changes to 40/20 kicks and scrums in Friday’s All Stars match.

Referees boss Tony Archer said all scrums will be moved to the centre of the field in the game which will be played at Cbus Super Stadium on the Gold Coast.

The attacking team will have the choice of which side the ball will be fed into the scrum, while the lock from the attacking team won’t have to bind in scrums.

“With significant space and attacking opportunities on both sides of the scrum, we hope that there will be ample opportunities for the team in possession to attack immediately from the scrum win,” Archer said.

“While this remains a trial of the change, we wanted to test this in a high-quality pre-season match and the All Stars presents us with that opportunity.”

Kicks of 40 metres or more which find touch will also give possession back to the attacking team through a tap restart.

The aim of the changes is to ensure an attacking, exciting game that will entertain fans.

“This is designed to open up the attacking opportunities – both sides will now have a greater opportunity to regain possession after a set,” Archer said.

“The video referee will help ensure that the rule is monitored appropriately.”

Meanwhile, the All Stars match will see the pre-season trial of four touch judges continue. Two of the touch judges can also move to in-goal areas when play reaches the try-scoring zones, enabling a greater presence of officials during critical plays.
