2015 CENTRES

Simonas much better on wing for me. Even at centre, it seemed most his breaks were made outside of his opponent.

Yes but he needs someone to give him quality ball to make breaks and unfortunately we don't have one centre who is capable of creating something for his outside man

That creates massive headaches and is going to put enormous pressure on or young and inexperienced halves

Add to that we lack quality 2nd rowers and attack wise we are going to struggle again unless we can come up with some solutions

Yeah agree. But geez Moses was putting away Koro out wide 100x a game in state cup. Hope we can replicate some of that on firsts. Richards just doesnt have the pace. We just need more pace in general.

out of all of our current centres..
Kevin Naiqama, Chance Peni, Asipeli Fine,Jy Hitchcox
Chris Lawrence, Tim Simona, Marion Seve, Delouise Hoeter and Nathon Milone.

i'd go Simona and Fine.
keeping a keen eye on Seve and Milone in NSW Cup.

well of the ones youve named, half are wingers/fullbacks. so putting them at centre wouldnt be the best idea anyway.

seve is too young. which really only leaves, fine, simona, lawrence fighting for 2 spots. id say lawrence will get picked. once the inevitable injuries occur fine can come in for someone.

Sitaleki Akauola is a centre and lock yeah - I am not sure how his defence would be out there in the centre but he runs hard, make metres and has a great offload to the outside.
His stats say he is 96kg but he looks much bigger

2RF / WING

NOT CTR / LCK

And even having wing next to his name is a stretch. He's definitely a forward.

What about sirro to centre. Has the size strength passing/catching skills. Would need to learn defensive structure. Not setting the world on fire in the forwards.

Way too slow for the centres. We need speed out wide especially with Richards there.

I still think Siro will be good for us and deserves more time.

One skill Siro does have is getting the ball away when he is being tackled . I Still think he'd do this better as a wide running 2nd rower and have a quicker centre near him. With the likes of Sue and Blair playing closer to the middle.
Here's hoping Moses can form a good combo with Siro and our centres.

Fine not first grade. Seve for me.

On this subject, 9 players were named that can play centre. Let's play position for position. Let's not go back to the Sheens and Potter eras.
