Haha not the right size for union,….bollocks

Bet he doesn't go Ink

He's only a 194 cm

John Eales is 200 cm and would not be classed as tall in this day and age

James Horwill is 200 cm

Sitaleki Timani is 203 cm

Rob Simmons is 200 cm

Just remember these blokes have been working on their vertical leaps for many years and are at least 3 inches taller on top of that

He's too tall for a prop that's why Jarrod Saffy left union and originally signed with the Tigers

And he will be too big and cumbersome to play flanker in my opinion Flankers need to be reasonably close set to the ground to get into the rucks and mauls and not be falling over and giving away penalties

I bet he doesn't go either.

This is pretty much spot on.

In theory, whether it is inclusive of the cap depends on whether the player would receive the payment if they went to another club. Soo chris lawrence writing for the local paper for a fee should count, but Beua Ryan on the footy show does not.

That said there is a million gray areas, and one group the thoroughbreds, seem to just rort the system. IMO they are clearly linked to the club.

I know in Brisbane there is more commercial opportunity legitimately within the cap rules, but the thoroughbreds seems to be aligned to the club.

Don Jackson was a Director of Brisbane up until last year I think!

OK Goose for the 2nd time I'll repeat what I said to BnW

The first situation was based on the 600 k which is spread over the Top 25

The 2nd situation is based on unlimited money being pumped in by a silent sponsor (namely Watto )

As Watto correctly added player managers are usually involved in the deals , so to keep the clubs direct involvement from this

You spoke about the Thoroughbreds , well Politis wouldn't be too far behind in this department

sorry missed that part.

As for politis I think he does covertly, where the thoroughbreds seem to be openly violating the cap rules.

Fifita wasn't a marquee when Sheens threw him in as part of the Gibbs deal.

This is in my opinion 100% inaccurate. Fifita wasn't a marquee signing for Cronulla but he was playing like one every time he got a chance.

Letting go of Fifita was a terrible decision.

You're kidding, that is pure nostalgia.

I remember a big fat guy who spent half his time going across field looking for people to fend off. Sometimes he'd make a barnstorming run, and you'd wait for him to do it again, only it would take another 6 or 7 games.

He had promise a'plenty, but so did Collis, Ayshford, De Gois, O'Donnell, Rangi Chase, Ben Roberts and any other number of guys who didn't stay on our books.

Certainly, with hindsight, we should have kept Fifita. Certainly it was an error in judgement. But the people who presided over that error, they are gone now, so there's nobody left to blame. Every club loses someone who goes onto better things, it's just life.
