Not working any more jirskyr?

Turns out this IS work.

None of you are aware but I am actually Tony Archer in real life.

Tony why did you always rort the Wests Tigers when you were a Ref…Why have you continued that tradition with Horsehead and the Badge...?

At the completion of the tackle
The player in possession:
‘shall be immediately released’ by the defender and/or defenders. Section 11 (10) (a)
Methods that impede the immediate release of the player in possession
a. Flop onto the player in possession who is grounded
b. Working the player in possession
c. Leg pulls
d. Leaving or placing the hands or arms on the ball or the arms of the player in possession once the
tackle is complete
e. Spinning on the player in possession once the tackle is complete
f. Defenders ‘peeling off’ the player in possession^
g. Climbing over the player in possession once the tackle is complete
h. Crowding the player in possession once the tackle is complete using their knees, arms or body
i. Pulls the player in possession to the ground once the tackle is complete

So potentially you can penalise at every opportunity every flop, "working", leg pull (your favourite), placement of arms, spinning, peeling, climbing, crowding or pulling.

This does not mention placing players in a choke hold and cutting off their oxygen supply, applying pressure to nerves and pressure points or attempting to twist or rip a joint out of its socket. I guess I was wrong, Melbourne do play with the rules of the game.

No particular reason, I just like messing with people and scrunching my forehead.

Remember the cracking down on the foot touching the ball during the PTB? That was a fun few weeks.

I actually hate the lax rules in SOO and finals. If teams can lay all over each other, slow down the ruck and only retreat 8 or 9m then the genuine skill players have less time and less room to do their thing - and that's the entertainment the NRL should be nourishing and encouraging.

When are they going to release the season promo this year? It doesn't feel like footy is close until I see one of those…

To answer my own question (since none of you bastards would!)…

I would assume the ad would come out at the same time.

I have a question related to all this: how come people feeling a lack of interest about footy this year want to post about their lack of interest? Seems kind of ironic to me.

Not judging anyone, just interested in the mindset of wanting to tell people you don't care so much. It would probably be true to say you still care far more than the average punter, to bother coming in here to talk about Tigers?

I'm really looking forward to the season ahead. As much as I hate a lot of the crap rules and the lack of adherence to them most of the time, I still think it's the greatest game of all. What drives me nuts is my real belief that some teams like the tigers seem to get the rough end of the pineapple on an all too regular basis and that some players can do no wrong. I yearn for the day when scrums are scrums again and the hooker is a skilled position, and when players didn't play for penalties so much but rather got on with things.

I think for the supporters who have a lack of interest in the game or club are letting the negatives of both cloud their judgement,by that I mean as far as getting into the excitement of the upcoming season, the past failures of the NRL and our club are in the forefront of their thinking, nothing wrong with that, its called being disappointed…however I take all the negatives such as,poor refereeing, video refs, rule changes etc from the NRL and inhouse dramas at our club such as Farah, poor team selection, doubt over contract agreements etc and I turn them into "I cant wait for kick off" to see how better our team look and perform from the start,Sulli,Idris and others face up to the challenge,JTs coaching and team selections and from the NRL,what changes have they made and how much better are the games going to be with these changes..theres lots to look forward to,but you must stay positive and look to the future not the past....If you are a true supporter and lover of rugby league, then in my opinion you will get some disappointment, but never a lack of interest......
