That sadly is the 2017 season done and dusted for our beloved Wests Tigers.
Whilst it may not have been the result for the season that I would have liked I still love my Wests Tigers.
I am excited to see what 2018 holds for us, a lot of new faces and a full off season preparation with Ivan, I think the future looks bright.
Maybe, just maybe, the media will even stop looking for bad news to report about us.
I just want to thank each and every one of you for your contributions to the forum over the season, whilst I may not have always agreed with your views it has been great to have such great Wests Tigers discussions.
Thank you for respecting your fellow forum members and keeping things civil.
I hope you all have a wonderful off season and look forward to an awesome Wests Tigers 2018 season and reading all your opinions.

Excellent post Krissy, next season brings me excitement and hope that I haven't felt for quite awhile..new recruits, great culture and a very impressive coach who isn't scared to make the big calls..these last few games of 2017 have seen the team improve greatly in defence and attitude,if the offseason is a good one, then I can see the team challenging for a top 8 spot and playing finals next year…BRING IT ON..

Would be interesting to compare the Round1 2017 side V the Round 1 2018 side.
I'm looking forward to the change.

I'm looking forward to 2018 and have taken the attitude that 2017 was the necessary stepping stone to a better place- better coaching staff, better and more competitive playing roster to make selections from and a more positive outlook amongst the players and the fans. Hopefully more united now.

We had to get rid of the prima donna's and under performers and when you look at the clean out, thats happened. Obviously everyone has their favourites and we will never fully agree on players signed but I think Cleary has a plan, and we have seen the shift in the last month or so of the competition. Roll on 2018 and the new era with a new roster and coach.

Thanks to all those who have left the club at end of season 2017, your efforts appreciated but time to move on. Exception to Moses, his juvenile pouting and deliberate non performance.

What fascinates me about 2018 is that I van said today that we'll be playing a new style of footy, plus the new faces to be seen next year. What I have seen in the last month is that our current players (those who will be retained) are going to make it tough for the newcomers to take their spots in the team away from them. MWZ is a case in point - he improves each week.

I'll be checking in here regularly over the pre season, being the Wests Tigers tragic that I am. I hope you all stay safe and well, ready for a very big 2018.

HOW MANY DEBUTANTS THIS YEAR
Although we finished 15 th this year the blooding of so many new fresh faces can only hold us in good stead next year mixed with the expierenced players that are coming and a full preseason under Coach IVAN it is going to be something to look forward to.
The following players I would consider as debutants this year
Suli Marsters MWZ The Huth Twal Liddle Sironen and JMK thats 8 I can think of is there anyone I have overlooked.

We finished 14th..thank you very much..

'Next Year'…look out...

Totally agree

Right from the out set of this season I thought we were in for a rough ride based on the fact we fell in a heap when it counted in 2016 and we had some drawn out contract negotiations dominating our pre season.

Who would have guessed 3 of our big names would do a runner and the coach getting sacked. As it turned out it was the catalyst for a massive turn around. Okay we did not win that many but we were in the hunt in basically every match since Cleary took control and this was with a team punching miles above their weight.

So next year for me brings guarded optimism, second year syndrome and so many new faces to introduce into a new club are my big reservations, but with Cleary I have a lot of faith, so bottom of the 8 is a real chance.

2017–--low point..Mitchel Moses tanking games to force the club to release him, probably the lowest act I have seen in over 50 years

High point...The arrival of Cleary, He is quite, calm and calculating.

Anyway now time to sit back enjoy the ashes and big bash and dream of whats to come in 2018
