Which is Qld's man of the series , not the actual player of the series
:brick: :brick: :brick:
Are you sure? All the media reports suggest it's for the overall player of the series. If you're correct I don't think anyone would care too much. Queensland can choose whoever they like for their player of the series.
**Yeah I'm sure , it's never been won by a NSW's player**
Your medal is awarded at some Blues award night , from memory it might be the Brad Fittler medal
Hate to tell you you're wrong Hap.
The Wally Lewis Medal is for the player of the series from ANY team (changed from just QLD after 2003)
NSW players have won it a couple of times (your mate Paul Gallen in 2014).
I think QLD now has the Peter Jackson medal which is similar to NSW Brad Fittler medal.
In other words … it was a joke for Slater to win it.
@ said:@ said:Rort of the century, Slater player of the series. At least the acronym, POS, is nearly correct.
Your not kidding!
It was a nice retirement present for the old man.
Very nice of the panel to throw away a medal to make A Grub like Slater feel nice and fuzzy.
Cook was robbed of a medal, but that won’t worry the League. As long as Qld is happy that’s all that matters
@ said:@ said:If Nathan Cleary is the answer to either the NSW or Wests Tigers half back problem then I'm a bad judge. The only thing I can remember him doing in 3 SOO games is that sideline tackle in game 2\. Tonight DCE played all over him. He is a fair defender and is a good link but he doesn't have one iota of attacking flair in my view.
DCE had the luxury of having the ball for 70% of the first half and running at a team in the second half that had made 100 extra tackles before half time.
NSW obviously wanted Maloney to play as the dominant half … a little strange I thought.
@ said:They do a 4-3-2-1 vote for each game and it's tallied after the three games… I'd say slater got a 4 in game II and probably a 3 or 2 last night... FFS Laurie Daley is a judge asking with wally and mal

I’d say the Three of them were on the sauce all night,
I live in Qld and everyone of the ones I know, are laughing their heads off for Slater winning that.
He would have been feeling pretty stupid when he accepted it.
@ said:QLD fans complaining the shield shouldn't be in the rain… hope they don't miss this picture.

What kind of shield cant handle some liquids
@ said:Happy is wrong…like that doesn't happen on at least a weeky basis
@ said:@ said:Sims is lucky to stay on the field after that. Weird and dumb play
Yeah, so, so stupid and you could see the immediate change on Qld faces that it was the invitation that they had been waiting for.
@ said:@ said:No idea how Slater got man of the series.. he played 2 games and wasn't the best player in any of them
Apparently he played his ring off in game 1
[/quote
It’s his own fault.
He shouldn’t be wearing jewellery on the field anyway
