Disagree about Graham.
Roberts was good tonight - he defended very well. I do question his character though… seems like a knob off the field and I feel like it would be only a matter of time before he mucked up in camp a la Dugan and Ferguson.

No idea how Slater got man of the series.. he played 2 games and wasn't the best player in any of them

Unbelievable. Can you imagine if QLD won the series and a NSW player who only played 2 matches was given man of the series.
Honestly - just embarrassing..

Yeah social media is blowing up.

Laurie Daley and Locky pick man of the series apparently.. :crazy

I think Meninga has a say in it too.

After his chronic failures as a commentator, selector, coach and voting panellist, Daley ticks all the boxes to be an NRL referee.

QLD fans complaining the shield shouldn't be in the rain… hope they don't miss this picture.

What kind of shield cant handle some liquids

Cook was the player of the series, how he didn't win that is beyond me

Except for second half last night he was generally excellent. His kicking has to improve and last night an attacker grappled away from him then scored. Not a good look. I prefer Maloney. He will even get sin binned to prevent a try - crucifying himself.

Was too ticked off after the game, but that was not a good display by the refs at all. Penalties were 5-0 just before the first half.

The Blues were way too gassed to do much the last 10 minutes, very directionless and none of the pigs had anything in the tank, Klemmer was certainly a bit of a passenger for the most part. Ball on the ground at one stage and he barely jogged towards it.

That penalty that Sims gave away was mind boggling. In saying that, we should have had a penalty as they were laying all over Sims to begin with, but I have no idea what went through Sims head besides the wind.

Overall, Queensland rarely looked threatening, especially in the 1st half, they had no clue and even with us down to 12, I didn't think they could score.

Rort of the century, Slater player of the series. At least the acronym, POS, is nearly correct.

Your not kidding!
It was a nice retirement present for the old man.
Very nice of the panel to throw away a medal to make A Grub like Slater feel nice and fuzzy.
Cook was robbed of a medal, but that won’t worry the League. As long as Qld is happy that’s all that matters

Come on Game one next year!
When a team has. 64% possession rate , a 5-0 penalty count , and is playing against 12 men and still can’t score it shows just how far that Qld has slipped. Fittlers Team will have learnt a lot this year and will be better next year
The teams were allowed to lie all over thetackled player, yet only once was it penalised.
And who got the penalty?
Qld of course.
To hear Qld you’d think that they won the series
Times have changed, As long as we win the games that mean anything (2) Qld can get Stuffed

Don’t worry, Qld will whinge about any thing when they are losers, it comes from carrying those two heads around all the time, it’s a lot of weight.

And I thought the reffs only dud the Tigers.

Lol, that was all amateur hour, as was Slater getting player of the series.

If you were trying to sell the game to someone new to rugby league - try explaining how a player who played only two games out of three in the series of games for the LOSING SIDE wins player of the series….

Farcical.

Do people understand that Slater only won the Wally Lewis medal

Which is Qld's man of the series , not the actual player of the series

Are you sure? All the media reports suggest it's for the overall player of the series. If you're correct I don't think anyone would care too much. Queensland can choose whoever they like for their player of the series.

Yeah I'm sure , it's never been won by a NSW's player

Your medal is awarded at some Blues award night , from memory it might be the Brad Fittler medal

Hate to tell you you're wrong Hap.
The Wally Lewis Medal is for the player of the series from ANY team (changed from just QLD after 2003)
NSW players have won it a couple of times (your mate Paul Gallen in 2014).
I think QLD now has the Peter Jackson medal which is similar to NSW Brad Fittler medal.
In other words … it was a joke for Slater to win it.
