I think that it will be Souths' on the 1st November.
Followed by Broncos, then the dominos will fall into place.

Apparently it has to be before 1st of November as The coaches all commence their 2019 season and hence can be paid for it if moved on once it starts.

Sorry correction,
This concenrn is if the current coaches start the 2019 season it will be coming out of the 2019 coaching cap whereas it’s a tidier option to do it prior or on the day 2018 ceases.

I didn’t know that there was a cap on Coaches, isn’t that the case
I’m pretty sure it wasn’t , when did that change?

Maguire -no club by the looks of it he’s dug himself a hole by prioritising the broncos.

If it is the case it would be nice to think that a coach who thought he could use us as a fallback option miss out altogether

I think it may be the other way around. It’s been reported that Bennett is the Tigers first choice. Madge apparently is our fallback option.

That’s my understanding as well.

I think that it will be Souths' on the 1st November.
Followed by Broncos, then the dominos will fall into place.

Apparently it has to be before 1st of November as The coaches all commence their 2019 season and hence can be paid for it if moved on once it starts.

ON WEDNESDAY night, Wests Tigers chief executive Justin Pascoe returned from an overseas business trip which is expected to expedite Ivan Cleary’s immediate release to Penrith.

The NRL’s complicated coaching merry-go-round could be finalised within five days as four clubs potentially name new coaches.

The Daily Telegraph can reveal:

* Pascoe returned from the US to reignite his chase for a new coach;

* Penrith privately hope Cleary could be free to join the club as early as Friday;

* Brisbane are expected to name their coach for the 2020 season by Tuesday; and

* South Sydney coach Anthony Seibold will return from a development trip to the UK next week.

Pascoe continues to pursue Wayne Bennett as the club’s first choice with current New Zealand Test coach Michael Maguire another strong candidate.

It is unknown whether Pascoe has formally offered a contract to Bennett, who appears determined to complete his final season at Brisbane, despite that possibly affecting his chances of finding another club in 2020.

Despite Cleary still being contracted at the Tigers, The Daily Telegraph understands Pascoe is chasing a coach for next season — not 2020.

Could the Tigers tempt Bennett with a challenge?
Cleary has already agreed to a deal at Penrith for three seasons from 2021 and, if a compensation package can be reached with the Tigers, could get their man two years early.

In the mean time, Penrith are prepared to put their faith in caretaker coach Cameron Ciraldo, who is already preparing for his squad’s return to training on November 12.

Bennett has told friends he would prefer to join a club with deep resources like South Sydney, but could see out his Brisbane deal before offering himself to Parramatta or St George Illawarra when Brad Arthur and Paul McGregor come off contract.

Seibold looks likely to stay with South Sydney next season — but beyond that …?
Seibold, Maguire and Queensland coach Kevin Walters are candidates for the Broncos job when Bennett leaves.

Walters was interviewed last Tuesday but is believed to be the outsider for the position, which could be announced after this Tuesday’s Broncos board meeting.

Seibold, still under contract at Redfern next season, remains favourite for the Red Hill position as he holds off on a contract extension at South Sydney.

The question remains whether Souths would keep Seibold next season if he committed to Brisbane in 2020.

Should Seibold leave, Bennett and Melbourne assistant coach Adam O’Brien have been mentioned.

I can’t work out how to post pictures but the Mole posted a picture with Furner at a pub after his report on Seibold. I think you can take it as done. I posted earlier Souths would promote Furness or a rookie they don’t want a vet would get in the way of Richos ego.

Souths won’t muck around Seibold will be gone immeadiatley and Wayne paid out. Wayne’s odds to the Tigers just shortened.

The last EBA not so much on Coaches you can still pay a head coach whatever you want but it means less that Clubs can spend on their football operations which includes the coach his staff sports science etc etc

Could only see it happening if they hadn’t won the premiership a few years back. Wayne runs clubs not simply coaches which we need Souths are different.
Shane Richardson is a control freak on par with Gus maybe stronger. It would be a complete overule by The Gladiator.

Cant get my head around Bennett slotting into our system and taking our current squad on, after what he is accustomed to at the Broncos.
I will be shocked if he signs on, especially when he considers the squad he will inherit compared to the one he will be forced to give up. Makes me very nervous on many fronts.
