2019 Hooker 9️⃣ - Farah or Liddle?

How’d that work out?

Yep. I'm sure he's thinking, "I played 2 hookers at Souths and got the boot. I'm never doing that again!"

I prefer one hooker with our pack, but I reckon he'll do whatever he thinks is best.

Farah wants his 300th. Its the only reason he kept playing on.
I think they will do the Farah starting and liddle off the bench all season.

Playing his 300th is all well and good but in no way at all should it prejudice selection.

I know Farah can play 80 minutes. Not sure about Liddle. Personally, I’m hoping a bench spot is not taken up by a second rake

The last thing that should be on the coaches mind should be letting players achieve personal milestones.Selection should be on merit

Look personally if we run two hookers once every 4 weeks or rotate them they should get enough mental /physical break

With the sports science they have available now if they can't measure when they need a break …

The good thing is we don't lose a great deal with whoever we run out on the field at their current best , that is a massive plus

It is only Round 1 gone and unfortunately it is a whole new ball game. We are so fortunate that Robbie came back and still plays 80 very busy minutes at a high standard. Jacob is lucky in a way that Robbie can cover his back. If we continue to win more than we lose than Farah could be chosen/co-chosen till he reaches his 300 games by season's end.
We may begrudge keeping Liddle out for the occasional game but that could also be a plus for Jacob's body. Jacob should appreciate his "delicate" situation and stay loyal to the Tigers for 2019 and 2020.

Based on Sunday's single game in the wet.

RF will be our starting 9 for another 3 years.

Madge knows what he is doing. We forget that he was trained by Bellemy who is arguably the best nrl coach i have seen.

Unlike some, the only issue that I have with BBF is the way over the top hero worship of we all know who. Having an imagination and being a storyteller without malice should not preclude.

Noted and agreed, though I only recall one post that I thought inappropriate at the time, which he was pulled up for by many forumers as well.

I think liddle will be playing halfway through this season and not before. We still need to buy an experienced hooker for next year when Robbie retires.

I have to eat Humble Pie on my personal comments and opinions on Farah. It really looks like he's honestly listening to Madge respecting his coaching advice and following a specific plan.

He's been amazing over the last two games and if he keeps playing like this is absolutely no reason to bring little back in at any time this year.

Totally agree, I was a bit sceptical with Faz going around again this year but is proving everyone wrong. No doubt Liddle will be needed towards the middle and back end end of the year as I dont know how Fazs body will hold up but at the moment he is killing it. Hopefully when liddle gets a shot he proves me wrong because I honestly dont think he is cut out for it tbh, I think this year it is make or break for him at the Tiges.
