Usually don't bother with racing, mainly bet on the nba, but put $20 on prince of arran for a place as i saw it mentioned by a few in here. Cheers lads.

Well ended up getting first & second with each way bets, the third horse buggered up my boxed trifecta tho 😔. Got an extra $20 for 4th place in a sweep (was originally 2nd before the protest). Nothing earth shattering, but got back about $25 over what I spent so I can’t complain. I usually bomb out most years, this was good by comparison 👍

Today I got my 21yo to help me with some bets
I put 10 mystery trifectas at $3 each
And picked 2 horses for wins at $20 each for a total spend of $70
One of the horses was Vow and Declare so I came away with $243.60 so I'm pretty happy with that

One of my mates that likes a bet said that the overseas jockeys should be treated like apprentices and given a weight allowance.
Seriously the overseas horses are the better than the aussie horses, but when you put the foreign jockeys on, you are hoping for the best.
I backed Il Paridiso & Raymond Tusk. Il Parisido would have won except for the italian cowboy who has now ruined 2 melbourne cups and still not won one. Frankie should be banned from riding in Australia.
Nash Rawiller won 3 races from 3 rides today. Shame he can't ride under about 56kgs, Put him on Cross counter today and it wins back to back cups.
The foreign trainers need to learn to leave their jockeys at home and find the best available Austrlian jockey. Seriously some 3kg claiming apprentices could ride better than the foreign jockeys and experienced lightweight female jockeys such as Linda Meech, Kathy O'Hara, Jamie Kah & even Rachel King could have done a better job.
