I couldn't believe the Murray break and how they stuffed it so soon from there.

Benji was pretty much a wasted spot, didn't get the chance to do anything, probably could of done with another forward.

Benji played?

Jokes...
Benji didn't offer anything to this game.
Time to retire uso.
Thanks for the memories.

Yeah agree sad way to go

In a gf? He went out in style this year I thought.

He was pretty much a bench warmer

He could have gone out coming 13th with our bunch of losers. Playing in a GF ain’t too bad.

No he wasn't wanted here as he was a liability in defence. He is value only to a team that dominates and that certainly is not us

Benji, yesterday's hero.
Went out a winner, in a figuratively way.
Also went out as a loser in a literal way

All the best in retirement Bagz.

Yeah silly comments after a gf loss

Daine Laurie was congratulating panthers players too, I'm sure he'll get just as much hate as Tamou right 😅

??????

Yeah silly comments after a gf loss

Dig at future immortal lockyer too after he sacked Bennett in Brisbane. Salty Wayne

Don't know where they got the energy to play with so much energy and determination after 3 hard games in a row and half their players carrying injury but they were relentless, I thought they were cooked

Well deserved win but at the same time, these new rules absolutely suit them to a tee. No one has benefitted more from PVL being in charge than them really (maybe Turbo but that's it), there's a reason they went from terrible to the best team in the competition so fast

Media fault for counting them out.

I just thought they wouldn't have the energy left really, I thought it could be a close game but I can't believe they kept that intensity for 80 minutes after how many tough games they were in recently

There are two words to describe our club perfectly. Embarrassing and weak.

Considering the recent history between the two clubs. At best it’s complete lack of self awareness. At worst, hits a total eff you to our club.

Our players don’t give a toss about the club. I doubt the administration do either. The only people that genuinely care are the fans and we are powerless. It’s hard to imagine us ever being competitive, and really we don’t deserve to be due to the decisions made by the many imbeciles in charge over the years.

You don't believe the players are also powerless from the club's mismanagement?
Whether it be from not having the best environment to develop their ability. Or the right coaches, talent, leadership or foundation around them.
We can choose to support the team or walk away whenever we want but every player that puts on our jersey is dealt with the same crap hand. That's a big commitment in that alone. So the pressure of having to dig this club out of a hole would be overwhelming for anyone, let alone a squad of young men.
I get the club's idiocy is unforgivable for many reasons. I honestly can't stand it that teams like the Eels and Penrith are doing so well in the competition, while our team has been decimated due to past mismanagement.
But when there's also a significant amount of outsiders in the team - who don't have the same connection to the club as our juniors and have also come from underachieving clubs, maybe expectations need to be lowered a little. Our club has been aligned with failure for too long and is trying to overturn this, so it's not fair to blame players for not firing just because they can't overcome all club roadblocks/hurdles and simply don't have a good enough team around them. Plus no offence I don't believe they have the best coach to motivate them or promote their abilities either.

I'm sick of the NRL at this point. I no longer know what it stands for and there's this obvious bias where it chooses to give advantages to certain teams whilst they watch others suffer.

I believe it’s hard to get the players to truly care about the club because it’s foundations are built on weakness, incompetence and stupidity. We’re a meme club and deservedly so.

It’s incredibly deflating to watch Penrith win the grand final last night while we’re here talking about signing Tyrone Peachey, a journeyman utility who is well past his best. Every single member of the front office should be sacked.

Souths premiership window has now probably shut for a few years at least. Few key players leaving the club and a few getting older.
Penrith I am not sure on, Burton and Capewell will be missed but they do have a steady supply of talent emerging through their systems.
Certainly will be opportunities for clubs to make a charge for glory over the next couple of years…maybe not ours

I thought this last year, but not this year.
Their title win was on the back of their defence.
This is the opposite of PVL footy. They only scored 6 tries in their 4 finals appearances.

Difference being I don’t reckon I questioned Lauries commitment in our jersey all year

Besides to me it just sounded like he was fanboying over his favourite team growing up (Penrith) and also his mates over there

Winners are chinners

Good on them, they deserve this success.

Of course they do...

Lol they were missing half their team.

What are you saying - they only took the field with 6 or 7 players.

If they had a full 17 selected - then they were well beaten.

Spin it anyway you like - they were losers.
