How on earth is this calculated? Surely we'd use a similar format to the dally ms, where the winner of the round gets 3 points etc? This appears to be based on total points which would just be bizarre

Feel free to do it your way anytime..

Why don’t we do an online form with a rating of 1 to 17 for each game?

All great ideas..love it...go for it..

It'd take longer to fill out than the actual time during a match that we are still in with a realistic chance to win!

It just wouldn't work very well, most supporters find it difficult to get 3 players in order for 3.2.1.I hate to think of people trying to put 1-17 in any sort of order

I still think we might have scraped into the 8 if the last few rounds didn't have the bloke on 25 points replacing the bloke on 758 points.

On this, LL and Nof have had the biggest drop YOY. Nofa from 586 to 44 is a massive drop and really illustrates how much his form as dropped since re-signing.

Douehi, Brooks, Twal and Seyfarth are the big improvers since last year.

Congrats on the win Daine!

What I did get from it was our fullback was integral to our performance. And our new Prince is Laurie replacing the Departing grant.
If you look at both years. Both seasons were supported by a rookie having a breakout year in a critical position of need. Our hooker personal changes highlighted the change in class. Doueihi got more involved from five eight than he did at Fullback last year. Aloia and his impact was replaced with Stef In pretty much half a season (plenty of upside there). Ironically the swap was from Offahengue who instead of replacing Aloia in the side replaced Eisenhuth.
Twal being the main senior forward on the field did most of the work for the forward pack and therefore stepped up in ranking and involvement.
Also not expected was that Tamou was essentially a replacement for the outgoing Taylor.
Brooks improved going off this even the false 3s’s he received wouldn’t of been enough of removed to bring him down to his last years tally of 212. The rest of our fringe forwards improved marginally and our key players from last year Nofa and Leulia went backwards although Lucy did have three games where he polled highest for the round.

I think a fairer system would be to rate each player between 1-10 points each game.It certainly has its faults but probably gives a better indication of how a player has gone during the here.
I would hate to be the poor person compiling everyones points each week though,it would be a logistical nightmare

Shout out to Ken Maumalo who racked up 114 pts in 10 games..with probably 0 in his 1st 3 or 4...with us

Back again for another year is the Tally-Ms with over 4,000 votes counted this season. Votes were down from last year as for two rounds forumers were too disappointed to bother starting a 321 thread at all. :face_with_head_bandage:

Whilst it may have been a lacklustre year on the field there is still plenty to be positive about starting with this years winner, a player who was only chosen by two in the WTF POTY Prediction [thread](https://weststigersforum.com/topic/31911/wtf-player-of-the-year-prediction?_=1631428641237) at the start of the season. Props to @Fraze23 and @jrtiger.

Speaking of positives, Stef Utoikamanu earned the most impressive display (highest score) for his 160RM/36 tackle effort in the Rd21 win against the Dogs. He was also the most consistent scorer for the year (most scoring rounds), just ahead of Twal, Brooks and Laurie.

Getting the jump on the WT internal voting and the new WT member voting this year so will be interesting to see how it aligns with those results.

I threw in last years final votes alongside for comparison.

Very interesting, thanks for your effort huggarz.
It looks reasonably accurate imho.
I notice 5 of the top 10 in 2020 didn’t stay around. Nofa did though, and may have provided some what if insight?

GREAT JOB ! - Very interesting and I think its a pretty fair representation of how people think generally. I have noticed there is the silent majority that use common sense. I think the outcomes are about right.

Haven’t looked at the table but surely the podium is Stefano, Laurie and Douhei.

Overpaid player of the year: Brooks

I swear I’m a marquee player award: Moses Mbye

Oxygen thief of the year award: David Nofoaluma

Let’s have a coffee award which acknowledges not hard earned thirst: BJ Leilua

I look hungover award: Roberts

I can’t believe I’m a first grader award and I know it: Zac Cini

I’m here because of my dad award: Tommy Talau

I saw on another forum, they're doing "worst player of the year" and they're calling it "The Brooksy M's"
😂😂😂

Can you imagine those logistics? Who on the forum decides that only one player gets 3 points? How is it done?

whoever organises is tallies the votes 48 hours after teh match and the results are published. Really quite straight forward.
Not sure how tallying votes in comments in threads and talyying up every single vote is any easier to keep track of.

So the highest 3 tallied players from the weekend get a 3, 2 and 1? Actually better when you think about it.

Yes, that's my suggestion.

I'm not the one putting the time into this though, so i'll leave it those who are to make a call for next season.

Gee going off the highest scores in each round Brooks won 6 rounds so 18 points..also polling in other rounds so possibly 2 or 1...Laurie only 3 rounds 9 points...
