May's injury looked bad - dislocated hip - looks like at least 3 months on the sideline. Be interesting to see how he comes back.Hamlin-Uele, May & the hammer
Probably won't play again this
Tournament either, serious injuries
A pity we ever had to let Harry go. Great player, and so resilient, but with a brain !!!Just some observations - Samoa were rubbish - didn't look fit - too many lumbering forwards. Luai is lost without Cleary. Suali is a cat - his defence is non existent and i can't wait until he finally gets sent off for lifting his knees in to the tackler. England looked impressive. Good solid pack of forwards and speedy backs. Their halves both played well. Will be interesting how they perform against the big guns.
Australia looked rusty and obviously needed the hit out. Grant is an absolute star and will definitely be in the 17 in the big games. DCE and Hunt will struggle to stay in the top team. JAC back to his best though its pretty obvious he needs top line players to create the space and opportunities for him - something he doesn't get at the dogs. Fiji tried hard but just lacked the class particularly in the halves. Api did some good things and some bad things but was one of Fijis best.
I know it was only the first game but England surprised and entertained me.After all that talk from people saying how much more it means to Samoa, they go and get absolutely smashed by England
No matter which way you spin it, any NRL club would be happy to have any of those 1-17 Samoan players in your team barring a coupleI know it was only the first game but England surprised and entertained me.
Not sure how they go against the big boppers but it was a promising start.
And they weren’t favourites, even at home.
Initially I think his decisions were based on incumbents, and maybe SOO, but that can change, I liked a comment earlier that maybe using Harry as impact off the bench may be the optimal way to go.I'm just wild about Harry
What a game cant see Hunt being preferred
DCE not a patch on Cleary
I think Meninga basing his selections on SOO and not NRL form

I think Cleary will enjoy his first outing, because Scotland should be a doddle, and secondly coz he will be surrounded by familiar faces, especially Yeoh, who I think is a gun for the Panthers.
Third game will see a mixture of something like the A team. Let’s see what happens next week.
I was aware of that but forgot to include in my post. CheersHe rested GF players
Hope they go on with itShort kick from kick off followed by a try to Lebanon in the first 1 minute.
Stop it !! 🇱🇧
