2022 RLWC

I’m sure we’ll get the facts from the referees report. Maybe he can try the Tamou strategy.
Big apologies, frustration, humble and fly in Tamous lawyer.
It’s a World Cup and I’d hate to be suspended The referee misread my anger etc etc
Unless he and Atkins have issues it’s probably a storm in a teacup.
surely no suspension for that, Atkins is a joke

yall need to calm down, sure Doueihi may have some issues in his game but he's our 6 and a good one at that, many teams would love to have him, as for his name pronunciation he's already said he doesn't care just classic aussie commentators trying too hard. should have English commentators and refs imo.

Just watched the replays of Us v Fiji, K1W1's v The Cedars and Scotland v Italy.

I can't see Scotland or Italy troubling us or the Fijians. It was a bit like watching A grade as opposed to a WC match.

Kiwis were patchy but will improve. They should have put 60 on the Cedars with the amount of pill they had and with AD in the bin. Manu will get better and will be a weapon for them provided their forward pack plays for the full 80.

I thought some of the plays AD and Moses put together were quite skillful; however, as usual AD faded away in intensity too much. As for leadership - AD doesn't cut it. Needs to put in as much off the ball as on it before he should be considered for any leadership position.
l liked what I saw of Tannous; he is a bloody short arse though.

K1W1s could trouble us at the sharp end. I think AD and the Cedars will be there in the finals but don't have the forward pack to progress far.

Our Fijian friends were in the mix for some of the game but really didn't trouble us much. I expected more from Api - didn't really conjure much up despite having a big forward pack to roll on behind. I think Fiji will run riot over Italy and Scotland and with a few more games under their belt could go deep into the finals.

I think DCE may have played himself out of our side with his average performance. I can see Grant and the Chin replacing Hunt and DCE going forward so they can build the spine combination. Munster, Crighton, Mitchell and the Fox looked good. If we can get a combination working that well on the other side of the park we will be in with a great chance of retaining the cup. Looking forward to seeing Martin and Yeo in the mix - I think they will probably form part of the pack going forward.

Overall I think we deserve to be favourites but as we know, the Kiwis and the Poms, with the bounce of the ball, will be challenging. I'm not writing the Samoans off yet - they will improve. I expect it may shock some of the Penrith players into action post GF.

Overall not a bad performance from our WT tribe - I expect that they will all improve with more game-time. My big hope is that AD learns from Moses how to guide a team around the park and from the rest of his team what it means to play with heart, on and off the ball, for 80 minutes.

Tannous has played some 7 as well as 9 I think ? not sure if he is top 30 but maybe he is the Madden replacement if Brooks leaves in 23 ?

Surely Vossy didn’t change his name without some sort of request. He’s been Douihi for 3 seasons but suddenly he’s Dooway.
I think being the World Cup we should have commentators from all over. I’d love the dulcet tones of da Jamaican boys or an Irishman.
Probably not French, Greek or Lebanese coz it would spoil the spectacle as I don’t speak any of those tongues.
Did I hear a delightful ladies voice on the Scotland v Italy game ? Thought I was on theAFLW or netball for a minute. That’s the new football commentator, Raymona Warren Or Wilma Smith.
Pleeeeese give me a break.

What excited me the most were the Italians. You could just see the TS impact.
Boy I can’t wait for 23, he may bring a few of the team home with him.
And for those serious types, I’m joking !!!!!

I thought he showed a much more committed and improved defence, compared to the last few rounds at the Tigers.

Moses looked fantastic.

I wasn't impressed with the send off.
AD should carry himself in a better manner, we expect more.

Shouldn't lower himself to such levels.
No one knows what he even said .....originally the commentators thought it was Robbie Farah lol

Bugger all length in his legs, even making Simpkin's legs look long, so he doesn't have to bend down at dummy half.

Saw Tannous as a nine from the first time that I watched him play, and hopefully he and/or Da Silva can nail down the role in the years to come.

Haven't watched the game, though I cannot condone dissent to officials, so agree with the removal of Adam and Robbie regardless of the situation.
I thought Tannous went ok as well ...take out the forward pass at a crucial stage when it was 18-12 ...probably a 6.5/10 ...he will only get better with more experience at this level ...isn't he coming off an ACL as well ??

AD at his best is easily our best player. His problem is consistency throughout the game and over the season. His defense has been horrific at well at times.

It was great to just read some positives about his playing. In some ways I want to stick with him at 6 rather than target someone like Dylan Brown.
I'd have Dylan Brown every day of the week. He's a great player, a NZ international and nearly always projects the right image for the Eels. He is also the style of player Marshall wants in the halves.
