2022 RLWC

I'm not sure if this has been discussed at length but I really think there should have been three groups, there should have been a group for the top tier nations (Australia, NZ, England and Tonga,) and then two groups of six with the minnow nations more evenly distributed. Would have stopped a lot of blowout scorelines in the group stages. Problem is you'd want all four top nations progressing because as it is currently structured thats the way it's going to go.
Yea top tier nations playing against teams like Jamaica shouldn't happen. Does absolutely nothing for improving the game internationally. I'd like to see a top 8 (Aust, NZ, Eng, Tonga, Samoa, Fiji, Png and 1st placed team from playoff rounds of others.). 2 groups of 4 - top 2 through to semis.
1 V 4, 2 V 3 from opposite groups. 2 winners in final.

Jimmy a double , its only Wales but Ngutlik not look out of place in Nrl
If Kenny goes or is not 100% repaired Jimmy could do nicely he's much faster
I hope we have him tied up for a few years. Definitely looks the goods. He is the type of winger that Melbourne would chase.

There'd be a way to work it in surely.

Like the two six team groups could have been Fiji, Samoa, PNG, France, Lebanon & Ireland, with Greece, Italy, Jamaica, Wales, Scotland and Cook Islands making up the third group.

The top four nations should automatically qualify for finals (kind of like the FFA Cup where all A-League teams slot into the round of 32,) three teams from the second tier nations make it through and one from the minnows gets in.

Unsure if PNG can beat England but at $9 those are pretty tasty odds

I reckon they will go down swinging 22-12 or something … they did test Tonga a couple weeks back

I haven't been watching Bateman at the world cup tbh.
How's he been going?
I would imagine he and Victor Radley would be a great combo.

Would love to see an upset this weekend.

No one expected NZ to lose to Fiji in the quarters last cup, so who knows.

They really should have won against Tonga, and they were paying similar odds for that...

But as much as I love watching PNG, England will win this one.
