I thought the same myself. Look at the way England are playing. They combine strong forward play with attack that asks a lot of questions..support play, changes of angles, eyes up football. It seemed to me that Joey Manu took it on himself to add to a planned attack that consisted of lots of hit ups, followed by a bomb or predictable second man play backline shift....all too familiar for me. Australia will beat NZ easily unless they can come up with more in attack. My God, look at the NZ squad - they have so much potential that is not being utilised.

Manu played like a mini Tedesco ...and I don't think that playing style suits ...but when your 6 and 7 didn't really contribute like they probably should of ....if Jahrome Hughes is out the Kiwis can't win .....Dylan Brown has been the biggest disappointment of the 2022 WC so far

Actually talking of defence ...I hope that Sheens and Co show Josh Mansours hit on Munster from yesterday ...how you come out of the line and shut down an attacking move when you are outmanned

They still have to get past Tonga ...that won't be an easy as people think and NZ and Australia are nowhere near their best .....if Australia or NZ play to their optimum ...game over 13+ Australia

Agree with what you are saying Happy. I actually had a bet on NZ to take home the trophy prior to the tournament. I hope they have a look at the game against Fiji and realise they need to do more in attack to beat Australia - and yes, that means getting more from Dylan Brown.

I hope we see a killer final .....something along the lines of the 2nd Test 1990 ...I love SOO football ...but I'd prefer International football was the pinnacle again .....I know we will never the old Kangaroo tours ...but wouldn't it be great if every 2 years we had the Poms come to OZ for a 3 match series and vice versa .....throw a WC every 3 years .....
