2022 RLWC

Why are you totally against women's footy?
Just doesn’t do it for me KR, can’t give you one particular reason
I guess to people of my age range it’s just such a foreign concept, especially League and AFL,
though I’ve seen a couple of good international soccer games.
Don’t worry, I hate NBA and NBL basketball as well. Yes, I know, what a boring old fart .

PS But devoted NFL and EPL fan.

I really enjoy it personally.

I think it’s good to see girls who want to continue playing league have the opportunity to do so, and for them to see women playing regularly at a high level as an indication of where they can get to.

Mate, you enjoy. I don’t want to rain on your parade nor force my opinions on you.
If there are girls/ ladies who want to play, then let them play.
But make sure you push for that Mens Netball
League, I’m counting on you.

Well mate myself and wifey were watching the TV just recently and there was a mens netball team. It has happened.

Praise the Lord, mens netball state of origin. And I bet you loved it.
That commentary is not setting me on fire.
Where’s Vossy when you need him.
Go Blues.

Suaalii is starting to have a bad habit creep into his game, the lifting of his knees when he's about to get tackled head on, someone's going to get badly injured, but then again he's learnt from the best JWH ( running with raised elbow )
Thanks for getting back on topic
It was really bad...actually one of the worst ive ever seen, I think Kaufusi was on the end of it he went reeling.
Much worse then craig smith ever did

Obviously, I wasn’t meaning for us. Just for someone who is now 33 and has played at the top for almost13 years- and is seriously ripped.
No , I understand that. I just feel he’s twice the player in England as he’s ever been here. Cheers.

Browny I'm 64 going on 65 and I don't think age should come into it.
I take it you don't have any children-girls that played sport??
I've got two girls, one played rep basketball and the other a handy soccer player.
For years I got up early before work (5:30) to take the basketballer to training and I started to enjoy the game more as time went on.
I saw the commitment of these girls and the sacrifices they made so they could play at a high standard.
I think the more I see their involvement and passion the more I enjoy female sport.

Point taken but I had three sons who played footy right through from 5-18 and I was there every step of the way. And I do feel that age does enter into it because it just wasn’t an issue for the greater part of my life.
Maybe not having girls did not give me the chance to understand the whole female thing from the ground up.
I’m happy for anyone who has girls( children) wanting to play sport, although not I’m still not sure that rugby league or union is appropriate, but that’s just me.
I just can’t watch any of it so will probably never fully understand it.
But that’s what makes the world go around.

That's cool mate, you said it yourself....you weren't exposed to it whereas you were with the boys.
You only have to go to some of the big sports centres to see how popular girls sports are.
The world cup rugby league and union ladies are growing in participation and skill levels. This is an indication that it is growing from juniors and up now.
I believe in about 10 years or so, womens rugby and rugby league will be well supported globally and a big thing in Australia.
