Could surprise a few, of the back of a solid forward pack and a new set of halves.

Every team in the bottom 4 the previous year always says'They could suprise a few'. Il believe it when i see it.

I hated everything about the teams attack last year. Surely they wont be as bad as that

At least we don't have Tim getting them to practice 200 aimless passes at training every week.That really helped our attack in 2023 said nobody

I am seeing Naden on the wing in a few line-ups on this thread.

Is he a winger? Specialist centre only for mine....

One issue about Naden throughout his career is the consistency of his inconsistency. He is a wonderfully talented player but at his age and stage of his career I can't see him changing. If he is anywhere near our wing in the NRL, we are in trouble. Lobb, Alaimalo and hopefully if we can miraculously snare Bostock in exchange for Tupou we will have genuine options for the wing.

I think Alaimalo will get the hang of rugby league structures quicker than most think, I’m tipping he will surprise and likely start the season in our NRL side.
He’s tall and strong and has the speed to score long range tries.

I like the look of Lobb.
I believe the only reason he wasn’t playing NRL at the Dragons is because the players in front of him were more effective in their hit ups out of the danger zone.
I believe he’s since added a bit of extra muscle to his frame to help improve that aspect of his game, if that becomes more effective he will nail down a regular NRL wing spot for us.

Whilst there's little out and out superstar quality, barring an up and coming Bula and Olam at his best, what we do have this coming season is competition for spots, with plenty of serviceable options until we can upgrade further.

I can see anyone of the following pushing for a spot round one...

Wing - Tupou, Staines, Nofo, Lobb, Naden, Alaimalo, To'a

Centre - Naden, To'a, Faataape, Alaimalo, Kapaoa, Feledy

There's also Saukuru and Galvin in the squad, neither of which are ready imo, but could cover centre at a pinch at some point.

Hoping Naden has his body right and a better attitude this year to push for a FG jersey. Know nothing about Lobb so if he’s out pointing Naden in pre season then I’m happy to see him given the chance.

Dragons clearly made an error with not promoting Sullivan enough. I think it’s the same with Lobb. I think he’ll be great for us.

There’s a dude who kicked a match winning penalty goal from the sideline on the 40m line late last year. Names escaping me though 🤔
