I really rate how Jordan Riki has developed into a hard nosed competitor despite also being a bit of a prodigy - and while they play different positions Walsh could do worse than to use Riki's toughness and work ethic as a role model!

Latu and Sam Fainu. I think they'll inject a lot into the club.

Sadly i reckon Matamua may be used as trade bait unless he learns how to run the ball hard and frequently. I wonder if he's training as a second rower given our lack of backup there.

I read that apparently Benji was opposed to the signing of Lobb, never had any interest in him, and will as such not give him a go so as to not be proven wrong because his ego is too big.

I highly doubt this is the case. Benji has said all spots are open to those who perform the best. Apparently he's been training real well, and is athletically gifted. I don't think he'll start the season but i do think he'll play some first grade throughout the year.

Simpkin and TDS?? Both will only fill in occasionally when Api is injured or on rep duty. Cant' see either getting much game time at all this season. Sullivan will probably be our 14.

I saw the same post on twitter. Even though that guy seemingly knows his juniors stuff involving Manly and Wests, I think he is way off the mark with this.

Even with the old management, it was pretty clear that if Benji doesnt want a player, they won't be here. I dare say Benji would have been well behind the recruitment of him.

It wouldn't surprise me to see him playing NRL early on in 2024. Trials should give us an indication of whether he is being considered for Round 2.

He's not a bad goal kicker. Can't have to many of them.
 
I'm hoping it's Benji..... That may be cheating, but hopefully at the end of the season everyone is raving about how well he has them playing as a team, working for one another and how well they are all developing. I'd much rather see every one of them lift 20% then to see one or two standouts.

A guy that I work withs best mate is TDS dad. I was talking to him and he recons Benji and co have told him he's going to be a big part of this upcoming season.i believe him when he says that's what he's been told just unsure whether Benji and co are just saying this. If it's true I think he's a big chance of having a breakout year. He looked good in the limited time he had and in a team that struggled plus with the extra size he has put on I think he can be special.

the year since we're likely not 2 retain him. I'd
have Latu & Tallyn in that 14 jersey this year bro

I agree completely, from what I've seen of tallyn he looks great and the hype/what we seen of latu in cup and junior blues last year he looks great aswell. I hope Sullivan can stand up and take the 7 and latu can claim the 6 and tallyn take control of that 14. Yeh it's a shame I like Simpkin tbh but he just never found that next level and for me should have been used as a trade for someone of use , just my opinion though

I can see him being the utility ahead of Fainu. Which might leave poor Jake out in the cold.

Keep in mind, we are determining all of these predictions on our strongest 17. There’s going to be injuries and suspensions. As well as Origin duty for Api.

he definitely has a role to play, but how big of a role who knows. personally I'd like to see him rotated between firsts and Cup and come up and potentially start at 9 when Api is unavailable, but the coaching staff clearly have something in mind. like you say he can be and likely will be special.
