2024 Grand Final

Yes I think he will, and he’ll kill it.
Bloody hard to say. But they have options and that in itself is scary.
Patea will be the long term replacement for Fish.
Lindsay Smith will probably be the starter next year alongside Leota. Ice will be a sub I feel. That’s not to say the end of the season will be the same, but I reckon they will reward internally first.

1. Dylan Edwards
2. Casey McClean
3. Izack Tago
4. Paul Alamoti
5. Brian To'o
6. Blaize Talagi
7. Nathan Cleary [C]
8. Moses Leota
9. Mitch Kenny
10. Isaiah Papali'i
11. Scott Sorenson
12. Liam Martin
13. Isaah Yeo [C]

14. Brad Schneider
15. Lindsay Smith
16. Liam Henry
17. Luke Garner

Penrith 2025
Thoughts?
3-6 would be a par finish with that team list. mid top 8 should be where that team finishes. Cleary, Yeo, Martin, Edwards, To'o all superstars.

Jerry is a huge loss. If the Chin spends more than a few weeks on the sideline in 2025 the team will struggle and will be knocked in the odds to win each game he isnt there. Jerry carried Penrith in 2024. I just hope he and Api can link up to old form, add Galvin and Bula, if they can avoid second/third year syndrome, Chef kiss.

They did. You just had to watch the replay to get it.
Just like all those idiots that watched the replay paused it and claimed the ball hit the ground on one angle but when watching the replay of the same event from a different angle refuse to admit that they mistaken the ball for Howarth’s forearm.
Andrew Johns screaming it was a try didn’t help.
My first reaction was held up but he had me second guessing.

It was.....the replay I posted that conclusively shows his arm is always under it, was actually shown live, you can hear the channel9 commentator Billy Slater saying "thats his own arm under it".

It cant be clearer, the video I posted that PROVES his arm was under it the whole time WAS broadcast at the time. It’s just that people are so easily led that everyone jumped on the bandwagon.

Penrith 2025 season will depend on how Blaize Talagi goes at 6 ....
It’s exciting though and the challenge that Cleary is faced with to reshape his halves style to suit Blaize will motivate them once more. Similar will occur in the forward pack.
Fair to say losing two of their 9 core four peat players will be their biggest loss yet.
But it could completely transform the team.
Luai himself said moving on gave him a renewed focus.

To be honest I didn’t feel live Joey was that influential I heard one commentator say his got that down and thought so myself as soon as he crosses the line but with it being sent up as no try I was curious what the ref saw and from then on every angle looked like it was held up.

They’ll be fine. Only Melbourne will trouble them.

I still think Penrith are favourites for 2025 ....dependant on Cleary being fit for at least 20 games of course

Yeo is a big physical human who uses his natural gifts perfectly.

Martin is an undersized guy who probably shouldn’t put his body through what he does.

Both amazing grand final performances but I’m glad they gave the award to the guy who plays above himself. He was a man on a mission.
I though Kenny Edwards was up there as well along the same points you mentioned, but he was just doing his job where as Martin broke away from his job and killed it in line breaks, kick chase and try assists, all the while tackling everything that ran ‘near’ him with gusto. Freak effort from him.

"They" are the people running the NRL and the broadcaster, in this case Ch9. If they combined can't get this type of service provision in place after years developing the bunker tech and TV tech then just get rid of the bunker and make it Ref's Call each time. But hey - don't overthink it greg - Quite simply, we never got to see the vision that the bunker used to make their decision.
Turns out the video was released to the media yesterday morning. Here is one of the links.

No truer statement.
Ill even add to that, next year, Melbourne will be the most ruthless side we have ever seen. Bellamy will see this as the biggest achievement of his career, as will team leaders like Munster. They will flog everyone they get the chance to. Eyes only on ending this dynasty.
Penrith, will have a rival worthy of them giving a shit. They will have a target and a reason to strive for 5 in a row.
Every other team in the comp are bullshit.

Yep, Roosters and Sharks are heading backwards.

Bulldogs on the up (maybe).

Hard to see anyone else really challenging the top two.

Doubt it

Talagi and Ice will replace those leaving

They seem to be able to replace leaving players very easily

5 in a row would not surprise anyone
The Fish up front is very hard for them to replace and so is luai when cleary is out for his usual 10 games a year
they will struggle big time

JFH was almost unnoticed in the GF. Their forward pack oozes class, Sorensen will step in and do a job along with the addition of Paps.

I don’t think they’re too worried in the forwards.

With Blaize and their production line of juniors I’m sure they’ll cover well enough if Nathan gets hurt.

Im a unashamably a NSW & TIGERS supporter but cleary is the BIGGEST PRETENDER in the modern game! Have a look at hin HIDING on the wing in defense in the GF. Andrew John NEVER shirked his defensive load in the middle. cleary is NOT & NEVER will be Andrew Johns a##holes ameba!
I may be wrong but wasn’t Cronk injured and needed protection in the 2018 GF he was there to essentially guide the team around

Blaiz ain't Luai
Luai has helped get them into top 4 throughout the last 2 years with Nathan injured.
