Thoughts on who'll make the teams this year ?
Few question marks surrounding both teams, in my opinion.

What's your 17 for your team, NSW or QLD?

I have a feeling we could see Wighton back in the centres . And I hope we give Katoni Staggs a run finally . I really hope we don’t pick 6 fullbacks to fill out the backline like Freddy did .

I rate Murray massively , but I don’t see the point in carrying him and Yeo . I’m hoping for Olakuatu / dynamic edge back rower . But I can’t see 2 debutants . So my guess is an old head like Frizell on the other .
Martin is a beast as well so he’ll be there somewhere .

right now for NSW, and this is subject to change

3. Trbojevic
4. Wighton
5. Lomax
6. Moses (Luai if injured)
7. Cleary
8. Campbell-Gillard
9. McInnes
10. Haas
11. Martin
12. Olakau'atu
13. Murray

14. Koroisau
15. Utoikamanu
16. May
17. Young

gone solely on form for this one, hence no Mitchell, Addo-Carr, Crichton, Walker, Koloamatangi etc. Wighton and McInnes are Origin players. Yeo isn't an Origin lock, not enough legspeed. Stef is a must pick currently and I've loved what Terrell May has brought for the Chooks. Hudson Young is a Madge-type player, he'll thrive off the bench.

Did Wighton retire from rep footy tho?
Not sure what direction Madge will take but that's a strong line up.

McInnes to start is a good shout.
Has origin written all over him, I reckon.
Better than Cook and can play as 13 if needed.

apparently Madge had sounded Wighton out. quite frankly I think we need him, he's a competitor. big fan of McInnes and I think he makes sense. Api around a tired ruck would be lethal.

Madge is a big fan of Lomax too.
That'd be an interesting move.

No Fox or Latrell.

looks pretty good to me, but assuming Hammer and Cobbo might switch. you think Capewell will remain in the side? bench looks a little small I reckon with Hopgood and Horsburgh, but Origin is all about legspeed I spose.

I'd love Latrell to find form again, just right now he isn't deserving. he would no doubt rise to the occasion if picked, but right now I don't think he's in the side on merit. Fox is washed and Critta is out of form. Lomax despite all the noise about him leaving the Dragons has been sensational.

They could go Mo Fotuaki.

Think Billy will back the younger lads though.
I this this will be the closest series we've had in a long time.

Injuries are going to make it interesting.

He makes the team for sure if he's healthy.

Staggs is hopeless. Bad for Broncos in the finals last year especially the GF. Awful last night too. He's a flat track bully
 
Excited to see what Madge does with the team, if I'm looking at his past team selection history I could see him running something like this, he's always loved a big bench and mclnnes helps cover lock while having Wighton at the centre offers halves cover with an edge option shifting 1 out.
