2024 State of Origin Teams

Not a good coach, imo

All smiles and smugness sitting with Yeo & Co.
Thinking, "I've finally made it" 😂

Shoulda took the Parra job, might’ve been his last chance at landing a club job.

Not a fan.
The Wests Tigers doco put him in a bad light. His only trick is to fire up the players. If there's any strategy or tactics, I didn't see him express it.

Of course, motivation works better in 3 origin games than it does in 25 NRL games.

😬😬

Good game 😢
Embarrassing loss man. They just weren’t prepared and NSW monstered them in attack, defence, kicking and in the air.
Tino, Fleggler, Munster and Ponga bring the sides closer together but without them, NSW are too strong.

Swarmed em.

No coming back in that second half.

I would play Latrell in Origin even if his club form is no good.
He has that extra piece that you need at this level…an arrogant arseholeness that says “you’re not going to beat me”.
I’m gonna toot my horn here..
NSW need to understand that some guys thrive in this environment. Clubland becomes a bit boring for them…the monotony of 7 months of the same shit week after week, playing with the same guys, running the same plays, operating through the same structures. They grow an extra leg when the chance comes to do something different. They become invigorated. Origin is different to Club, Exhibition and Test Match games. It is a different version of the sport. Take Dane Gagai and Ben Hunt for example. Perfectly fine club players, but stick them in origin and wow…both have individually won us games even though future immortals were playing.
Origin is different. Club form means little. NSW has had a poor record of identifying origin players. Latrell has always been this guy. It is also quickly shaping up that Moses, not Cleary is this guy as well.

Really curious to see which way they go when Cleary is fit. Word is Luai will make way. But reckon the smarter option is not to bring him straight back in.
In this years team you can see a fair difference in play style when you don’t have Yeo controlling everything from lock. TBF they look better with Robson dishing off the mark and not playing alot around the ruck.
Reminding me of the Ennis v Farah days in origin. Api is probably not going to play the game again.
