Congratulations Madge on a tremendous coaching performance to motivate a group of players to win at the highest level against another group of very capable players, if only our club could give a coach a squad that could play consistently at a high standard. Stop attacking coaches people, we’ve had plenty carrying the clip board who are more than good enough for the NRL, players win matches.

I definitely think Madge struggled here but the spoon isn't on Madge. Sacking Madge and putting Kimmorley in charge while keeping his own hands clean was one of Sheens' most selfish moves. Unluckily, he thought there is only one way up from winning the spoon and he was wrong..

Because we have some on here who completely ignore the fact that Madge inherited a shit squad with a crippled salary cap for three years. They also ignore that he couldn’t make signings without running it by a committee that included Justin Pascoe of all people (who claimed he wasn’t involved in on field matters). Not to mention ignoring that he signed a top 3 hooker and (at the time) top 3 back rower once we were able to finally offload a few of the Cleary signings. Oh and he never got to coach these players.

The man was set up to fail here and the fact that we still have people on here who completely disregard all the anchors he inherited and had to drag and claim he’s a bad coach despite his résume, shows they have the attention span of a goldfish.
