Billy Slater is a stubborn bastard, can imagine he’s the type who would push back at the masses of people asking him why he is overlooking David Fifita.
Never the less it’s one of the worst selection mistakes in State of Origin history, who in their right mind truly believes the form of Kurt Capewell or Felise Kaufusi has been better than David Fifita ?

Time will tell whether that's true or not but the decision to leave him out is a very puzzling one to say the least.

With Barnett there, I think we are the only team without any SOO players this year, not even in the extended squads.

Funny enough, Sharks from memory only had McCinness and they're 2nd or 3rd on the ladder.

On the bright side, we can thank that lazy, tanking prop who's name I will not mention and his trouble making low life manager for our lack of Origin representation.

Having said that, I feel that Api was hard done by not to get a look in.

If QLD are to win, this game will go to the wire. It’ll be won at the death on either side of the ball.
Fifita hasn’t got that dog in him where you would trust him to make a 79th minute tackle that can’t be missed. Capewell and Kaufusi are that guy.
Ponga is a big in.

Madge bringing in Sua'ali'i as 20th man to replace Keary is one of the most corrupt and questionable selections in Origin history.

Especially given they have confirmed that 18th man Burton will rightly replace Best if ruled out...

At this point he is either allowing Isaac Moses or the Roosters/Politis to pull the strings - as this non-playing "merit" selection has zero future benefit for the NSWRL/NRL or building team culture with the bloke heading to union next year...

The mercenary kid has been suspended since Game 1 and just walking back into the extended squad without any recent NRL form only reinforces his sense of entitlement!

But Madge is happy to play Isaac Moses' stooge!

I hope Madge does a last minute switch and starts Barnett and pushes Jurbo to lock. The first 20 are going to be like the one in 2022 or something when we had 3 knockouts. Murray needs to be protected from that IMO.

Such a shame Flegler and Tino aren’t there to rip and tear.
QLD will be brave, they’ll fight but I think the Blues are too strong for them this year.

not just here I've noticed but in general. Shame the

Team looks good. The worry is Klein. 60 matches at Suncorp. NSW won the penalty count in 9. It suggest that NSW will need to be MUCH better than Qld to even win by a narrow margin.
