It’s why the clubs obsession with 18 yr old kids and “the future” is so stupid …

If they keep these kids, and they come good, then they MIGHT have a pretty decent team come 2027-28… but if that means another three years sniffing wooden spoons in the meantime … then the club will be close to nothing left supporter wise in my view…
 
i think most rusted on fans like myself will always support our team no matter what.
being a Magpie suppoter i was used to alot of dissapontment but when we do well it just feels great. you have to support your team through the good and bad times in my opinion

The Coach flipping, garbage from the front office and the poor recruitment of the last 15 years, no decent players wanna come here,

if you are a Magpies fan, then you, like me, come from a different age when the sports options were 2 games of RL a week in winter and the cricket in summer …

It’s changed for kids now … no time for losers when you can pretty much watch every NRL game live Not to mention every other code form around the world …
 
I like the draw.
semi tough games to start, then competitive games kick in.
We hit Panthers and Broncos back to back which will be interesting
Then the SOO period we have a nice draw during
The end isn’t easy based on the expectations of who should be firing come finals but if we are in the hunt then will be good tests

We play the top 4 once each which isn’t bad also.

The lack of FTA exposure might be a good thing. Kinda hope we can stay under the radar. For most pundits, anything higher than 17 would be a surprise.
 
Having seen plenty of bad days then good days been a Magpie fan now Tigers fan i think the good days are
slowly coming back around and hopefully the mixture of youth and decent experience players can slowly turn this club around. As stated by Tig-prmz we can stay the radar should be our new motto.
 
Going to be O/S round 20 thru 27 so should be save from the annual Belly flop.
Any draw is a hard draw for us but this one if we were half decent would be classed as a good draw

I always pardoned our performances because of our finances. We could never compete with Manly and the dogs etc.
But our bunch have been telling everyone how much money we have had for the last decade. We'll, if we're rich but still can't win that means we have unqualified people in charge. And I don't see that changing.
 
Just reading an interesting article about there being no Sunday game at Leichhardt in 24.
First time since 2013 and only second time ever in our history.
Sunday afternoon at the eighth wonder of the world not happening - pity with us finally having all those home games.
I wonder if it was accidental or intentional ?
 
We won 4 games this year. That tells them we aren’t competitive. So there isn’t much incentive for them to showcase us. Want things to change? Win some games.

True,

But that was pre cap.

But trouble is now the salary cap is a hinderarance rather than a help for poorly performing teams.

It forces one to pay as much for poor performers and yet the club can't effectively pay overs for elite talent.

Meanwhile, the cap rorters rort the system so it keeps a status quo.

Hardly any upwardly mobile teams these days except for say NZ and they have other attributes to aid recruitment.

It’s a run down suburban shithole.
Time to bury the past.
 
I don't think I'm a tightarse but the thought I'm being ripped off really pisses me off... And that's the overwhelming feeling I get especially at LO as the club milks gate prices for all its worth.... Same product but more expensive than CSS - $60 (probably more next year) to sit parralel to the dead ball line with no view of the big screen and a shitty PA system. fmd
