Half the players we'll have by then either won't be at the club now or won't have even debuted yet. Absolutely pointless speculating which teenagers may step up this far in advance

Why??? That seems to be the basis of our recruitment plans at the moment

Our recruitment plans are solid, build from a young age. We've signed a bunch of highly talented kids. Who knows which ones will kick on? It's pointless speculating on who will or won't make it in 4 years time. Chances are 99% of this forum won't have even heard of 2/3 of our 2025 roster.

Its not ridiculous.
4 years is not that long.
If we have don't keep a core group of around 10 players from the current squad in 4 years time, we won't be able to build a strong team and culture.
We have a core group of promising young players who will all still be in their mid 20s in 4 years time who should be the nucleus of the team.
And we are actively investing in juniors and pathways, so we should have a strong group of younger players come through who are already in our system.
Yes we'll hopefully sign some players in targeted areas (2nd row, centre and wing) but we can't rely on external signings alone like bulldogs are.

We can only hope and pray that we don't have 10 players from our current pathetic squad in 4 years time!!! Stefano, Blore, Simpkin and maybe Laurie and Doueihi. That's it. Draw a line through every other NRL squad member. And if we want to build a strong culture we'd want as few of our current squad as possible. We need Stef, Doueihi and Blore to establish our new culture.

yes we'll have some juniors who are in our starting side by then. Are they even at the club at all now? Are they still in school? A few years is a huge time for a schoolboy in terms of development. Some will kick on, some won't. Just guessing and predicitng the future based on those currently in our setup is pointless so far out in my opinion. Sure we can guess and list a few names for maybe 1-2 years ahead, but anything further than that is crystal ball - buy me a lotto ticket if you know the answers stuff.

Yes we should have a solid core and not have a mass cull every few years, but we're not established enough to have that stability yet. Our roster sucks and requires massive changes for us to be competitive.
