Live Game Discussion
It’s only one game so plenty of time for egg on my face but really don’t understand the hype around Parra. Moses and Iongi are guns, Dyl Walker is usually great in that 13 role and they will win some games off the back of them but outside of that they have very little. Pack is one of the worst in the comps. Would be surprised if they are challenging for the 8 at the back end of the year.

That’s why they are desperate for Mitch Barnet. Maybe a Lomax Barnet deal could be on the table for this year.

Eels were not very good, but the Storm got a ton of six agains and early season games get ugly when possession is lopsided. I hate the Eels but I would not be writing them off on one poor round one performance.
I also foolishly thought the Storm might slide out of the eight this year or be bottom of the eight, looks like that’s probably not going to happen
Same . But man that first 20 mins was dodgy re. The video ref . I thought the on field ref was ok , but Butler clearly had the storm 13 plus .
You gotta rise above that though . The eels just got angry and capitulated . Really poor leadership. Definitely a reflection of thier captain

Raised in Melbourne, good to see them producing some juniors

Very humble kid, he also is up first thing on the beach doing sprints & weighted stepping before he heads into training nearly every day. Will have a big future if he can be injury free.

There is another 3-5 local grown juniors that I have faith in which will get a go over next 2-3yrs. Some won’t be seen in QLD cup before they get a go also. There is heavy focus and alot of growing investment occurring in league development in Vic.

That's awesome. There's so many kids around Australia that havn't been given pathways or proper development in rugby league. I give kudos for PVL for expansion and making the clubs financial enough to put effort into these areas.

It’s interesting because the NFL has been focusing on setting up academy style approaches in parts of regional VIC but is working with the NRL on this and has had a very good win boost for the NRL. The NFL plan to spend $10m over next few years with the NRL in VIC. Interesting dynamics are forming.

People bag Vegas push but indirectly the NRL is getting traction with more US funded interest which is really interesting to see develop on how that unfolds.
