Broncs came back and broke Penriths dynasty when they were up 14 blot at half time in their 6th Prelim final in a row.
That would have stung.
They have a point to prove and if Brissie don’t get their shit together, this’ll be another flogging.

I know that it's the first game of the season, but this game has been super sloppy so far and the completion rates are woeful. Definitely isn't helping my super coach or fantasy teams..

Yes it’s been a dud.
The first month is always trash with a couple of gems mixed in.

In any game lopsided possession makes it near impossible for the team doing most of the defending, but in the first six weeks it makes it virtually impossible to win.

Maybe there is a crack down order from above but the six again rule is being pushed. As long as they are consistent Iam okay with it

This is how they played their footy for a lot of last year.
That premiership is one of the more improbable ones since ours.

It’s only one game so plenty of time for egg on my face but really don’t understand the hype around Parra. Moses and Iongi are guns, Dyl Walker is usually great in that 13 role and they will win some games off the back of them but outside of that they have very little. Pack is one of the worst in the comps. Would be surprised if they are challenging for the 8 at the back end of the year.

A lot of jizz over Ryles and Moses. They'll be fine, but they are a bottom 8 team.

Can't look too much into the first 5 or so rounds though. Same each year.

They basically lost that game to the raiders 3 times and Hudson young should have never been sent to the sin bin.

Pause it there . I look like a genius . I Had all 3 missing the 8 and I was adamant they were overrated ….. lol . Nah , I’m sure they’ll come good . I still think none of these 3 are genuine contenders though. They all benefit from being either pundits former clubs they played for , or ones they coached at , or their mate is in the coaching staff.

I was listening to someone in the media the other day excepting Penrith to win this year

He said the Panthers system is so complex and this is the first time since they won there first premiership in the run of 4 that they have had a full offseason together and everyone is on the same page

Staggs is not alone. Early days-----but,
My take on the game.
1) Walsh was absolutely crap. Missed bombs, did not make a break, poor defence, a poor game overall
If that was Bula this forum would go into meltdown.
2) Reynolds was crap also. his bombs always found Penrith players. Game management seemed nonexistent. Living in the past, he has slowed and the game has moved on.
Madden kicks long, low and to spaces. Better field position management and setting up supports in the red zone. I know they were trials, but he learnt from Reynolds and then refined it for better field position.
IMO Doueihi is more suited to play the 13 position. The run and distribute roll Yeo does so well.
